Let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that Agadmator, having 900k+ subs, does not post ads on his videos right until the end for us viewers to enjoy beautiful chess without interruptions.
@@Theyoutuberpolyglot No offence taken. The veracity and value of advice is measured by it's impact, he forever changed the way chess was played and in the words of Kramnik, " like studying the face of God." I mean no offence by this, but you are a chess commentator whose opinion is unlikely to have any impact. PS: Don't know if you deliberately cited 2+2=4, because there is a funny irony, for Tal it = 5.🤣
0:00 Hello everyone 0:39 Without further ado 0:48 Sorry about that 1:57 Completely new game 2:34 That's not a rook 3:15 The new castle 3:27 5:47 Double attack 4:53 Triple attack 5:41 Whole b3 action idea thingy 8:21 Dubious and Dubovious 8:33 12:20 Give you a couple of seconds 9:25 12:37 Position from the thumbnail 11:40 Queen to Ivanchuk 13:32 (It was in this position) 15:16 So yeah
It is as Thal said after his winning games when they pointed out during the analasys that he really should have lost if his opponent had played the correct move, "You have to find it over the board!" There is a psycholoical advantage to attack your opponent, they get stressed and miss winning moves! More of the top player should try play for a win against Magnus or they will be grinded down to dust

@@alminjahic8640 super super annoying, I think people should link the time stamp for when the video progresses immediately after he says it so i won't be so annoyed.
остальные гроссмейстеры, после того как проиграли пешку магнусу: "вот и все, плакали мои шансы на ничью." Дубов, после того как зевнул Карлсену фигуру в середине игры: "Да я его еще выиграю..."
@@peterechnaton52 that’s not really the point though, it’s that fact that Daniil blundered a piece and was completely loosing and managed to win - an unlikely event, especially against MC
@@easystuff217 well indeed this was a not a sacrifice, this is just blunder because he just put himself in worse position rather than better. It is purely genius that he won.
I used to do that all the time. Make stupid move in early game, get mad at myself, rage quit. Eventually I stopped resigning in online games until all hope was completely lost and I would need multiple consecutive blunders from my opponent to win or even draw. Turns out you certainly can recover from a screwup or two against good players on occasion and it's worthwhile to try.
This is the best chess channel because it has the heart of Tal, the head of Morphy, the soul of Philidor, the tenacity of Kasparov, and the insight of Radic. We love you Agadmater. You make this channel what it is. You have captures captures captures our hearts so we say hello back every day. I wish I had found and promoted this channel earlier. Sorry about that. Whats the idea here? To hope you keep doing this for 20 more years. God bless you and your family.
@@ritikbhimkar4122 The quote translates to something like this: "Complicate the position to the point that only one person will be correct." Mikhail Tal was excellent at calculating even the most complex of positions.
Lol dubov blundered first and everyone went crazy, then Magnus lost and everyone went crazier, then Agadmator summed it up perfectly with this title 😭😂
@@EEEEEEtwothousand In his early videos (like, super old ones, among the first in the channel), he tends to make this mistake where his computer's sound would be loud enough to be caught on the mic, causing an echo in the recording. He usually notices this mid-video and leans down to turn the computer volume down while saying "Sorry about that". This happened surprisingly often and the commenters of his videos at that time joked about how it's pretty much a meme at that point. So, while it does seem that he doesn't make the mistake now (you can clearly hear that his recordings are more than fine), he acknowledges that it's a meme and he's saying "Sorry about that" while pretending to adjust the volume for the sake of it. Might be annoying for some people, but for me it's a nice little callback to who he was before.
6:17 Peter Leko in his commentary actually pointed out Qb1 would be more precise because it prevents ideas of pushing c3 and creating passers there because the b5 pawn would hang, which was according to him the only good plan for Magnus to push for more than a draw
Dubov is simply incredible... in a position with a piece less and playing agaist world champion he didn t resign THIS IS THE DIFERENCE BETWEEN DUBOV AND THE ANOTHER CHESS PLAYERS
I don't think anyone in the field would have resigned a piece down in that position, even if it was lost by the computer. "Try and good things will happen."
After I saw this game wrap up, I totally understood why folks love Dubov so much. He seems like such a fighter, and hearing his interview afterwards and noting how humble he is, I am a big fan now
Amazing game, thanks for looking at some of the different lines, which not all of us 1500ers get or see. It's a balance of playing out the games and looking at the possible lines stemming from each of the moves without halting for too long, and I think you got the balance right here.
Guys chill I would never doubt dubov but there has to be atleast a year domination by Dubov. 2014 Fabi went from 2800 to 2844 in sinquefield It is easy to go 2700to2770. 2016 Wesley felt way too strong 2822 just after that MVL reaching his 2819. Shakh in 2018 won a very strong Biel beating magnus in classic game. That streak of classical games existed till this year. Levon was a beast. They still are but their current form might not be. These guys are awesome but it's easy to gain but difficult to maintain.
@@user-bm9cv9vn2k obviously he has a long way to go. He is not consistent enough yet, but he has the skill to be one of the top 3 players in the world if he can solidify his game
I believe that Dubov was extremely assertive in this game and holds a never-give-up mind, somehow it helped him to accidentally played the "nasty engine line" right after his blunder and Magnus couldn't handle such madness.
Good to see this guy blowing up given how well he communicates the players’ ideas and breaks down games. Awesome for chess beginners and veterans alike
At this point with 8 Dubov videos in the last 4 days, I thought agadmator at the end would say “ hope you enjoyed the game. See you in the next video continuing the coverage of the DUBOV saga and whatever happens in the chess world. Thank you and have an excellent rest of your day “
I mean we all know how great Magnus is. But Dubov is so underrated. If he even becomes the World champion himself, I wouldn't be surprised lol. He's a phenomenon.
playing aggressively for y is how Dubov plays chess in general. Regardless of the outcome, i think he is smart not to change. people who actively play forc draws find themselves dead lost much of the times, and i think that would especially be true for a player the likes of Dubov, whose strength is in his creativity and active play. if hes not playing to win and not creating problems for his opponent to have to worry about, his chances are probably not very good, especially when playing an amazing tactician like Magnus. He will just slowly wear you down and then grind you to dust when the endgame is reached. we all know that Carlsen can win endgames from losing positions. So if he is equal or better at that point, you're probably doomed.
That was a beautiful blunder. The thumbnail position really set the pace after this, as Dubov was able to take advantage of the position of Carlsen's King and Rook. Carlsen was unable to develop his pieces in time to use his 1 up advantage. !@#$%$#!! is definitely what Magnus was saying to himself.
Everyone: "Dubov blundered that knight and managed to win" Dubov : "Hmmm... If I sac the knight AND a pawn, I can fool Carlsen into a false sense of supremacy, open up the C file with a double attack and go on a forced king hunt that ends in Carlsen giving me back that knight and perhaps mate. Hell, we live once..." *Horse to C5* Next level stuff IMO.
After the match, Dubov literally said he doesn't care about winning the tournament.... What a BOSS. He just want to play the most creative, entertaining chess. I don't know if he will be a world champion in the future but he won people's heart already and became people's champion with his creative attacking style.....
I'm following your advice to go all Tal and simply try when i'm in a lost position and surprisingly i'm winning lots of games which i would resign before.
My opinion: To defeat a positional player we need an attacking player. As we see: Capablanca vs Alekhine; Tal vs Botvinnik; Karpov vs Kasparov. Though both the players have good scores against each othet
Well an amazing fact is that all of Tals moves were the engines recommendation which were impossible for any human to calculate so basically Tal was a computer
Dubov after blundering a piece: Carlsen: "Well congratulations, you got yourself caught. What's the next step in your master plan?" Dubov: "Crashing this game..... WITH NO SURVIVORS!"
Amazing. This revives my belief in chess. I thought that such craziness can happen only on my pathetic 1900 rating level, and that the romantic era of chess is gone long ago. Dubov is the one carrying chess back to life - from my humble perspective.
I Have Realized this a long time agao and knew that something bad would happen to the players Mental health and Carlsen is the best example of this. How do people only notice this now. I noticed this since the beginning of lockdown
