700 Patzer actually guessed 4 out of 200 or whatever games watched. That's how great Agad is! BTW, does anyone else slow down watching speed from normal to 50? (3 notches?) LOL
I was looking at Qxf7 since it removes both defenders of the queening square. I assumed black is better since they get b2 in but I also couldn't remotely calculate it.
I love how this comment makes zero sense at all but it got likes anyway. I remember when RU-vid was in its glory days and you actually had to be funny to get a top comment. Now all you have to do is go to an Agadmator video, say something about his subscriber count, say something like "and in this position, captures captures captures captures, we have a completely new game". Basically dont say anything creative and you'll make these autistic nerds laugh
I always cheer for Dubov when he plays against pretty much anyone because his games are usually really interesting but damn this game was played beautifully by duda, from start to finish, couldn't help but cheer for him the entire time
In an interview after the game Duda said he had thought that the tournament is over for him after the loss to Dominguez so he decided to just go wild. I suppose we have Dominguez to thank for this masterpiece :)
You are the best Antonio. I spend a few minutes and work out best move then get complimented. No one else thinks I am any good at chess, but you are supportive! :)
The classic -- Alekhines' 5 Queen game & this is definitely for real too! Awesome game and coverage too. Also a perfect example of rolling thunder (as I call them) in a Pawn storm! Thx very much!
Thanks for reviewing this very interesting game! Instead of the winning move Rf4 you proposed at 13:05 in the video, Qxf7+, Kxf7, d8Q (the bishop cannot take the queen because it is pinned!) caught my eye. Unfortunately, black has the saving move Qc6+, which I believe leads to a draw even though white is the exchange and 1 pawn up. However, had white's king been on h3 instead of g2, the same sequence would have been winning!!
Hey Agadmator! Don't know if this has already been spammed, by his middle name is not actualy Dmitrievich. This just means that his father's name is Dmitri (a pretty common russian name). Having the patronymic included in the name is pretty standard in Russia.
It isn't a fart sound, it's a default sound when you try to make an illegal move in chess.com interfaces or games, to warn you that the move is invalid
I've just started learning and the only games I win are the engines in Lucas Chess designed for children called Monkey, Crocodile etc. and I'm just loving this channel. Can't fathom how these people see everything so quickly, but I hope to be on that level some day.
This game was NASTYYY. Oh my God, my jaw is on the floor. Also, my understanding is the Ding Liren is in a time zone where he has to play from 12:00 AM-4:00 AM, so he's probably getting more and more tired as each day of the tournament wore on... Wow. Thanks for excellent commentary and explaining, Agad. Or should I say Antonio The Bastard the Wise. Antonio Snow the Wise you might say.
No, it doesn't. This guy interrupts himself constantly, and without warning, to talk about alternate moves. His accent makes it even more annoying; especially every time he says a word with a "u" or a "w" in it. To top it all off, he always stops his own commentary halfway through to offer a puzzle for his viewers to solve, and then pats on the back the ones who bothered to get it right. It's incredibly patronizing and annoying. If I watch chess content, then I want to watch the game play out, because this is a RU-vid video, not an online lecture from Oxford University.
Both Dubov and Duda play very entertaining and beautiful chess so it's nice they will play some more games in this tournament. Also very nice video mr agadmator :)
I love Dubov's style. I really appreciate Agadmator's job, too. However, Duda completely outplayed, outsmarted, and outeverythinged Dubov in that game. Nevertheless Agad tells the story as a home preparation and a single shot.
@@Tx66 perhaps he tried, but when you've played chess during the day and slept at night literally for your whole life, i guess it's really difficult to switch
I wish you watch this game and comment about psychology matters especially dubov's reaction and duda calmness. It's a good fight by dubov creating chances for counterplay and great attack by duda
Ding have a second job? If not, that is a pathetic excuse. Easy to change your sleep schedule, millions of people do it (did it) everyday, called travelling to different time zones. Love how so many people make it sound like Ding has to overcome such a difficult situation, damn entertaining... the simplistic thought patterns of these drones.
@@goose5462 change sleeping schedule? how about you try to play at 12 am until 6 am every day against some of the best in the world, no matter how hard you try to change your sleeping schedule you will never be able to fully adjust your body sleeping clock to that extent and believe me I have tried to be on the China time
@@ahmedwaheed3153 Honestly, its not the difficult, I could see fatigue setting in on the latter matches, but Ding finished last, below players rating in the 2500s to 2600s. Ding is undeserving of 3rd. He has been mostly crushed all of 2020, and this continues in 2021. Excuses are easy to hide behind.
@@goose5462 "honestly its not that difficult". Sure yes. Its easy to watch youtube with a bag of chips till 5 in the morning. Lmao. Lets let Ding decide how hard it is to play the most difficult game in the world against the absolute best in the world at midnight. No need to always blurt out an opinion on things you have no way of knowing. Maybe some other shit is playing in his life, but there is definitely an argument to have with the playing at midnight.
@@erik2757 Yes, waking up early and finding the energy for the long hard walk to your computer to play online. I'll remember to use Ding's hardships as an inspirational story when a nurse or doctor working night-shifts, then day-shifts, spending an hour travelling through the frozen dead of winter, roads covered with snow and ice dare say their day was difficult. Maybe think of all the hardships most people do daily, before mounting this pathetic argument that walking up early to play online chess is so detrimental. Even Ding would probably laugh LMAO reading this ridiculous drivel. Even with your limited scope, you must be aware that Ding can prepare beforehand for the (insurmountable hardship) of waking up early, after all, its his career.
It doesnt come with the check so, black queen would take the chance to give a check from c6. And if the white king moves to h3, then black and white will go on a checking spree, and eventually end in a draw with threefold repetition. Instead king to h3. White will have to block with Qd5 and after black takes the queen, its winning for black. It'll promote its 2 past pawns.
@@agusspp6551 well i said this could be one of the reasons. Not the only reason. I don't know exactly why he is in a bad shape recently but again i heard he was suffering because of the covid 19 at some point?
Agadmator and Duda missed the best move! When Dubov attempted to protect his bishop (12:47 in the video) after Black moved Kg7, instead of Kg2, the brilliant Qxf7+!! GAME OVER!!!
@@trequor not really, rather understandable First name (personal), 'middle name' , family name. Now, 'middle name' is generally father's name+ a suffix meaning son or daughter. So: Daughter of Yuri? Yuryevna Daughter of Vladimir? Vladimirovna Son of Dmitri? Dmitrivich Son of Ilya? Ilyich
@@johnaustin704 There are objective reasons to prefer one way of doing things over another (this is not necessarily the case here). The prevalence of English is not solely because of the reach of the British Empire, followed by the dominance of America. It is also because English has incredibly simple grammar (at a basic level), with very few verbs, prepositions, and affixes that are essential to speaking the language and being understood. Example 1: most plural forms are expressed with a simple "-s" suffix. Example 2: Almost any noun can be transformed into a verb by adding the suffix "-ing". But again, these naming conventions are not necessarily better than the other.
Hello Everyone! We've seen the good stuff and the awesome stuff and now ladies and gentlemen this is the "Could be the absolute best game in this tournament"!
On the second "pause the video" moment, instead of the really complicated/awesome Rf4, isn't the straightforward Qxf7+ also working? After... Kxf7, you go d8=Q and now the Bf6 is pinned and you're up the exchange
