Best boat channel: no bull, see everything, open (and close) all interesting parts... no everlasting useless drone footage and fancy music... really great boat touring...
Agree. No stupid TV show with fake hosts can compete with channels like this and people like Aquaholic. It's like sir David Attenborough of the Ship and Boat world ;)
@@AQUAHOLIC Nick, I have seen this vid at least 4 times (I've seen all your vids at least twice) Every time I see this boat, I want it more and more. Sure going fast and "tubing" is fun (for the young I'm 52) but there is so much to be said for anchoring somewhere, looking at the Milky Way at night time with Marianne (me with my girl) and waking up and having a nice cup of coffee. This boat looks manageable for family as opposed to that really huge Nordhavn where you would need a crew. So, small dream, this ship. Big, huge, all,the money in the world dream the Nordhavn 120. ..Zaine
Yes; thorough, enthusiastic, specific (nice to know what make/model of tech stuff is being featured), clear diction, and real-living description of each space. Easily the best host for presenting a boat. Thanks!
The exterior looked old school but the interior was amazing. Love the part where you show the engine parts. Not many people show it and nice presentation. Keep up the good work
They have backups for everything and put all the gear/systems where you can get to it if it breaks, but then build it so well, that nothing will ever likely break. Love it.
Just imagine how nice it would be to have this boat in the middle of the ocean with your family and dogs and be grilling out on the back deck while the sun sets.
Mm Mm I mean the entire point of these boats is redundancy in case anything breaks, and construction built to handle rough weather. I’d agree with you if we were talking about something like a Pearl or a Princess, fancy looking hotel rooms that spend their whole lives in a marina in the Med. these things are literally built to be tanks, one of the cofounders took the 40’ version on a full circumnavigation a few years back to prove it
Better yet and much safer is to use this on the great lakes all around one side of Michigan to the other side and back again, and if that wasn't enough take a ride along Ohio and Pennsylvania and New York and Canada then go back to Michigan to your own dock on 30 acres of Lake Erie. But a Bering 80 would be much better.
@@ACHVACTAB1 Or really smart. I wonder how many people could live on it, and share the expense of ownership. Lets say three couples, all of whom worked remotely and could captain the boat. At 2 million cost plus 200K annual boat expenses...lets say a 30 year mortgage would be a 15K monthly payment, so 180K annually, so basically 400K per year among 6 people is 70K per year each. Yeah ok nevermind that wouldnt work.
@@michaelnero4033 : That's not really how it works for "A Yacht". Your not going to get a 30-year loan unless of coarse each guy is re-financing a home for said amount !! This would be a Personal Loan for each guy and would be lucky at 15-years but probably 10-years which of coarse will be a very high interest rate ( over 10% ). Ideally there is no way 6-Middle income people would be given a loan for a Boat !!! Boat's do not increase in value (like homes) and it's a luxury item. I owned mine with 1-other guy ( I can't imagine 5 ) Simplistically speaking: They don't call them Money Pits for no reason !!! This Yacht IS for RICH people with money to burn "Literally"
The yachting equivalent of a Honda. Not fast, not showy, quite expensive compared to the competition, but with superb quality mechanicals such that it will go anywhere in any conditions and last until the end of time if correctly maintained.
This boat is a steal at that price! I wish I could buy it! Thank you for the informative tour! The wood, the engines, layout of systems..you get what you pay for.
You said it repeatedly, but it bears saying one more time - the engineering is astonishing. The finishes are fantastic of course, but the quality of the build is amazing.
Wonder how many times I've watched this by now.... just can`t stop dreaming about all those transatlantic crossings aboard her.... Thanks for all fantastic reviews!
Not sure how this channel ended up in my feed. I've watched two videos and all I can think about is classic nordhavn. Love the tours and if I ever win the lotto, it'll be a classic nordhavn for me. Subscribed
Nick, your tours are great. Like this video, I’ll watch you tour a boat multiple times, especially a Nordhavn. Hearing you say “classic Nordhavn” & the little wave into the mirror always puts a smile on my face.
A brilliant tour. Probably one of the best. Gives a really informative look at both the living and engineering spaces, so you can really get a feel for the craft. Superbly well done.
Another great tour. Like the way you respect the boat, close and lock doors and shoes off when you enter. Very respectful, unlike another boat video I occasionally watch. Keep up the great work.
Wow how clean is that vessel 🚢 The engine room is spotless Surely a sign that she’s been looked after so well Awesome video again Nick and thanks for sharing it with us
When I win the lottery I am buying a Nordhavn, I appreciate the that the interior design keeps them looking like boats and not overly designy hotels like so many other companies do.
Absolutely love Nordhavns. A 60 would be the dream. Big enough to live on but, small enough to not need a crew. Perfect! Although the big girl, the 148 is a looker!
The thought and engineering in that ship is beyond amazing, and the tour is one of the best I've seen. The clincher has to be walking in socks in a carpeted engine room!! Excellent presentation. Thank you.
Very nice job as always ;) its not primary a selling tour but very interesting and informative. What a huge difference to those boring and stupid photo tours of other boat sellers.
I really like this. The accessibility to everything is amazing. The engine room is incredible. Great use of available space. Plenty of deck space if you and a mate wanted to go fishing. Fantastic
Like Jack Geis, I know little about boats but I do live near to Essex Marina and enjoy looking at the boats there and the river setting. The presenters eloquent, informed and positive descriptions of these vessels are just great. So relaxing to watch when I have the time, which during these (Covid) days, most of us have.
I appreciate the way you differentiate boats between serious cruisers/live-ons and pleasure/luxury types that, to me anyway, seem to be more about impressing in port and taking shorter cruises or having a crew than being easy to live in and maintain. That's one of the CLEANEST wire panels I've seen, excellent cable management, outstanding access, to the thrusters as well, to virtually every engineering kit. It's full size, crawlable if not standable but you don't have to lay on your belly in the elements if something fails in a storm, INCLUDING backup systems... it doesn't have the overt sensuality of some of the yachts you see, but if you're really going to venture about in a big boat, ESPECIALLY if you're planning on being your own skipper, so I suppose I mean if you're planning on OWNING and maintaining yourself, this is really what you should consider in your decision making. It's not like the interior isn't impressive. It's one that feels something like I'd imagine the library of a English manor home. Still, some of the truly beautiful yachts I've peeked into, while having stunning interior detail worthy of a Park Place penthouse, and luscious accents with nice broad beams, are far more difficult to maintain yourself and honestly less seaworthy. There's a significant cost difference to ownership if everything that has to be maintained requires having to pay some technician to do it for you, or, Heaven forfend, it has to happen in a gale in the middle of a cruise. Ok so this won't attract every bikini clad beach bottom on the pier, but when you have to DIY, especially in harsh conditions... you'll REALLY appreciate how you spent YOUR money. But I'll admit my bias since I am a diver. It's fitted really well for diving.
Amazing boat and attention to detail. I absolutely love that you show all the tech and engines. Very soothing and relaxed narration. Liked, and subscribed good sir!
TheAstronomyDude not me. For 1,8 mil this one lacks the size to remain stable on rough seas. I’d throw up all over the place and would prefer steady ground. ;-)
What a great review. Very informative and a straight forward look around. Love the engine room. Working on mine a 40' what a little extra length will get you. Thank You for a great review!
Yup nordhavn are the go anyweres boat i liked the 63 then I saw the 86 omg they layout for a trawler is best you.ll ever see take a look at nordhavn N86 MYSTIC TIDE on RU-vid my dream boat
Nick an excellent video again, so this is a 60 footer with basically 2 cabins , my opinion is that this boat is not really a pleasure boat, it may be long distance but the upper deck has a lot of iron around and the fly bridge is smaller than a 45 feet and the bow has no leisure area. Only my opinion
Your tours are always so amazing Nick. I can almost smell these wonderful interiors you are showing us. I think we have similar tastes. I always seem to agree with you. Thank you. 👍
I wish they would invite you to do more boats like this. I really like the Nordhavens you've toured, and the Delta Marine was amazing. Trawler style has the edge over sleek and pointy any day in my opinion.
As an engineer , I am thrilled by ease of access for engineering spaces and the design philosopy to make servicability easier. I am sure it is a pleasure to work on this boat.
I love every thing about this boat, the colour choice of the furniture leaves a lot to be desired but that can be sorted easy enough. Great presentation. More please...….
Hi Nick. Im a big fan of Nordhavn trawlers, very well built and 5000 miles range, ocean going capability surrounded by beautiful cherry woods. Like the cabins on the main deck. Great video.
Classic Nordhavn! The one thing that would be a minus for me is that this boat is very noisy underway. Some of the delivery videos I’ve seen on RU-vid shows this. Even noisy on the bridge. Either way I’ll never be in the lower upper class to afford this😏
