Feeling nostalgic and missing my kerala days back in 2018

India is so huge that any part of year you would find snow covered areas and also hot places which really high temperatures

for beautiful nature please take the toy train ride in South India . it runs from Mettupalayam station to Ooty (46 kms) . it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one beautiful ride.

Each train carriage in india has a triangular shaped red coloured plate mostly in the middle of the carriage which says S1, S2 etc so those are the reserved ones UR is the unreserved ones, which is the first 2 carriage after the engine and the last two carriages. And the actual train number is just above the triangle red board, its yellow in color and its rectangular in shape, just so you know.💥

Hey Luke, just got to know you are in Kochi too. It would be great if you could visit the small vibrant town of Thrippunithura. You can visit some folklore museums , the old palaces and find some local snacks around. Do visit Fort Kochi too as it's a must see place to learn about Kerala's history and culture. Marine Drive in Ernakulam has a beautiful view of kerala backwaters in the evenings. Great place to chill and a popular tourist spot

For sleeper class you should book ticket before 1-2 days or atleast 4hr before train depart from its first station.

Bro most Indian trains have general couch. And it will be the first two and last two compartments. Or first and last ones. So either walk to the front of the platform or last. Some priority trains don't have general. GL (general) or UR(unreserved). Some have all couched general. If you know the train number or name you can look the structure of the train on line. As in where a specific cab is. Sleeper ticket: Day time till 6pm if you get general sleeper ticket you can get a seat in sleeper class. There will be very less people , almost guarantee seat. After 6pm it will be converted to sleeper so you can sleep on a birth.

Hey Luke, need your attention, When you travelling in indian train with UR ticket and you’re in SL class. At the moment if Ticket checker caught you, you have to pay the fair of from the train started to the place train is going .. not from the where you get in the train. Plus their is some fine too.. same goes with AC coach. It’s not wrong to travel in other coach but if there is extra crowd in UR, you can come to SL and ask TC to make a ticket for you..

Man with general ticket you survived in sleeper class. lucky guy

Every information you can get at the Railway station itself. Its just you have to learn little bit about Indian railways before travelling.The basic informations. (1) General ticket coaches are labelled U/R .like this sleeper,Ac has its on tag on your ticket and on outside train compartments which is readable. (2) Every station there is a notice board showing train number ,compartment names and it's number from Engine side .Also in railway station there are boards highlighting the compartment number from Engine side you need to be standing ready before train arrives so that you can enter as soon as train stops. (3) Normally general tickets compartment 2-3 cabins at front near engine and 2 at the back side of the train. You should be ready as train halts at each station for 1-2 min only. Like this if you do little research,you will not be confused. With little research you will have basic knowledge,then crosscheck with rail enquiry and locals. I see many foreigners videos telling in India this this problems are there but actual problem is their lack of knowledge.Every information is in front of them,they are actually not able to figure it out.

I have been to kerala 18 years ago (in Trivandrum area). Stayed in the former kovalam hotel for a month (cliff side location). The view of the ocean from my room balcony is wonderful. I miss the foods there in the coastline area near the light house tower. Wish to go back there again in the future. A lot has changed there by now probably.

Buy unreserved ticket. Go on sleeper coach, no problem.if ticket checker come and ask to update ur ticket in sleeper class, he charges some charge and give u sleeper ticket. Same thing in ac coach.. Mostly sleeper coaches are full but in real journey they are vacant.

17:34 @luke that number 146101 is 1,461st coach made in 2001. The last two numbers are the year the coach was made and the other set is the 1,461st one made that year, it is a vehicle VIN# when put together. I can see that the AC coach was made in 2016.
