This is why you should always take care of your vacuum because you’ll end up having issues with your vacuum if you don’t do proper maintenance, never vacuum up drywall dst either because you can end up ruining your vacuum. It’s rather disappointing that people don’t know how to care care of their Dysons and they aren’t even fun to try to fix them and it’s difficult to get parts to fix it depends on which Dyson vacuum you have.
My UP13 was also an absolute basket case. Had several issues but it had a good head. My Animal 2s head was completely dead. Tried it on my UP13 and it didn’t work either. So out of the 2 Dysons I made one good one. It’s an, interesting looking machine with a mish mash of colors and parts, but it works great now.
Seems like it is hit or miss with goodwill being willing to negotiate. I got a Cleanview Plus for $3 as they originally wanted $15 and the cord had a short in it and would shoot sparks out of the plug every time I tried to plug it in. Other times they have just nicely told me to f*** off.
it sucks that people dont take care of their dysons but dyson makes it so hard to do so nowadays. I also hate how narrow the wands are they clog so easily, its like a normal vacuum hose on a shop vac.
