I live in Canada and I went to Costco last week... I bought dog food, laundry soap, vegetable oil, rice, canned beans, some socks... almost no groceries(just a roasted Costco chicken). Literally less than 10 items. Total came to $127(Canadian Dollars... which is equivalent close to US$100). Cost of living here where I am is crazy high.

That's crazy, I live in Florida,US and with $100 I cant get much, but ill tell you Rio its a lot of expensive, that's why hubby and I are moving to Nordeste. were going to move to Rio even bought a property in Barra da Tijuca, however after watching your videos I'm sold. vamos visitar o Nordeste no final do ano. keep up the good work, os seus videos sao otimo.

Brasil é um grande fazendão, uns dos maiores exportadores de comida, inclusive carnes. A comida daqui é precificada em real mesmo, diferente de vários países que precificam em dólar por causa da importação.

I lost 50 pounds in Colombia the last time I was there, do that and also, walking an hour a day and working out for 15 mins with moderate weight. I also, cut out unhealthy food and ate a lot of protein. I have been slipping these last 4 months but i will get back on track. Lifting weights was when it really started melting off. I not even talking about heavy weight, I am talking about 15 to 20 pounds only.

Keep it coming bro. Enjoying the videos and the info you share. At some point I'll be moving to Rio or Sao Paulo, cuz that's where my heart is, but Fortaleza is definitely looking like a future option at some point. Just the grocery prices alone is enough to wanna leave Toronto, Canada next week haha. Prices are mad dumb here right now... Just gotta figure some work related situations out first and I'll be watching these videos from a different location in Brazil. 😀🌴

Impressionante, querendo ou não o poder de compra do dólar ainda é bem alto, apesar de uma certa queda. Até o pessoal de outros Estados que vem para Fortaleza se impressionam com o preço mais em conta de alguns produtos ou serviços.

Verdade! Isso é a grande diferença! Para ganhar 100 dólares nos estados unido leva um dia e meio, para ganhar o equivalente 100 dólares aqui no Brasil leva uma semana e meia pra muitos pessoas que ganham na média

Exato. Aqui no nordeste, custo de vida é uns 50% mais barato, as vezes 75%. Tudo depende seu estilo de vida. Por exemplo, meu apartamento custa 3,500 com tudo incluso e fica na praia. Já um apartamento igual o meu na Califórnia custaria o que valente 15k de reais e isso só aluguel sem contar as contas. Tem parte dos Estados Unidos onde tem mais barato mas mesmo assim custa 6k e isso também é só aluguel. Sem praia por perto e sem Brasil ao redor. Minha mãe paga 1300 na conta da luz e ela tá em Nebraska, eu pago 130 e 250 se eu usar o ar-condicionado. O troque é ganhar em dólar para gastar no Brasil.

I know u said that its been a while since you visited the US.. but you can get basically the same stuff at Aldi for 100 bucks 😆.. its been 3 years since I left the US.. but we used to spend 100-110 for a lot stuff.. Brazil is very expensive specially in the Sao Paulo region..

While groceries may not be the cheapest, they get the job done for two of us. But honestly, where else could you land a furnished 2-bed, 2-bath beachfront apartment for just $1,000 a month, all bills included? Where do you find electricity for merely 50 bucks, or internet and cable bundled for the same price? You mentioned you’ve been out of the US for three years now. Well, since you left, inflation has skyrocketed there. I’m currently paying just 650 bucks a month for my place, all expenses covered. In this new era of crazy inflation in the US, where else can you stumble upon housing as affordable as that?

Largato = Eyeround lagarto refers to a specific cut of beef known as the eye of round roast in English.
