Karakol, Kyrgyzstan ➖After Jake told me he bought a car for $1000 here in Kyrgyzstan, I knew we had to put it to the test and explore the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. We decided to try our luck and visit an abandoned Soviet mining town known as Enilchek. Unlike most other abandoned cities in Kyrgyzstan, to get into Enilchek, you need a permit due to its close proximity to the Chinese border.
The cost of this permit is only $50 USD, but it takes weeks to process, and time is money right? So we tried our luck armed with a couple bottles of vodka and a few packs of cigarettes to see if we can bribe our way into this abandoned town.
