The buses are the most affordable and comfortable we've used in SE Asia I reckon.

Cheers for watching! You actually aren't supposed to pay tourist tax when booking with agoda it's included online. Few hotels have tried to make us pay this but agoda refunded us because they are doing so falsely. On walk in hotels we've paid the tax only :) We don't mind nobody speaking English atall 🇲🇾

Hey Sahiful when booking with Agoda and pre paying it is actually included in the price! The few times we were asked to pay it again the hotels were just trying to make more money sadly

@@EllisWR in big towns like KL or JB or Penang, there are less taxis like this. Almost none existent. In the East Coats, yeah maybe. The reason is that with the national automotive policy since the 80s, car becoming cheaper to own in Malaysia. More and more people own their own car. So proper taxis find it harder to sustain operation. Even in KL you'd find less and less proper taxi. However, in big cities, taxis are replaced by ride-hailing services like Grab. In smaller towns, there are not many Grab drivers for it to be reliable enough (availibility on demand is low). So people don't rely on them. That's where these guys come in into the picture. Anyway, cheers... in Kuantan, if you can afford it, rent a car and ride around for a day or two exploring coastal villages and popular beaches. The beaches are not the best in Malaysia, but personally I like how the trees landscape in the coastal areas differ from one another. If you want beautiful places, ride up north in the east coast. The beaches in Terengganu (if you take the coastal route) is AMAAAAZING. Seriously. There are a few spots along the route which have unique ecosystem in this world. If your next destination is Kuala Terengganu, use an app called SOCAR that allow you to rent car by the hour. Rent in Kuantan, and drop the car in Kuala Terengganu. Along the way take a detour into beautiful villages. If you're moving up north, the beach will always be on your right hand side, so take a detour to the right... don't turn left (to the west, inland direction). Villages like KIjal, Kemasik, the coastal part of the town Paka, Tanjung Jara in Dungun, Jambu Bongkok Amenity Forest in Rantau Abang. and many more are amazing. These are very beautiful places.
