any concern dropping off equipment? Damage, knocking it over, undoing the programming, drunk people, kids? I like this but, would be there or have an attendant. Amazing that Drew said 1 in a thousand having a problem. I have been to many occasions such as weddings, no way. I would drop off for something more like a corporate event and a good contract and contact. Parties etc. with alcohol, I would not trust. Then, have to deal with not fulfilling the evening because someone damaged it and not getting paid. Maybe in time as I learn this, it won't be as bad as I think it would be dropping off. Getting creative with a good price incentive for dropping off and a good contract of mutual trust will be positive. I admire what he has done and this is a great interview.

A good contract in which the client is responsible for all damages is definitely necessary! But yes, a risk in doing drop offs for sure.

Would you recommend starting up with a cheaper version of the photo booth and then upgrading to the salsa photo booth?

That depends on how you want to run your business! I started with salsa because I knew that was the quality that I wanted to represent my business. I’d rather invest in something I can use long term. But that’s me, my opinion, and my business! You have to decide what will work for you.

Is there a way to make an online album of all the photos for your clients from each session?

With a salsa Photo Booth (the one I have) there is a live gallery that is created for the client that holds all of the captures. Personally I don’t feel good about sharing an entire gallery online for all the world to see, but I’ll pick some favorites and share on social media if I can or feel it’s appropriate. There’s definitely some dos and don’ts with that. Like never post a picture of a minor unless there is explicit consent etc.

I get this question so often and it’ll be an upcoming video for sure. I’m actually not happy with my current supplier so I’m testing out a new one. I should be getting it within the next few weeks. In the meantime I’ve been sending everyone to atthebeep.co as they’ve provided me incredible assistance even though I wasn’t a customer. So you can go there to purchase or get an idea of the tech. But a video will come I promise! I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned

No our contract requires the venue provide wifi. I do bring a hot spot just in case or tether from my phone to send out captures. Some iPads have cellular and are able to send out captures as well.

I have the salsa and would definitely say it’s the best one to start with! My friend Kait and I are actually discussing this on our podcast on Friday (one moment please podcast) so might be worth checking that out. I’ve built my entire business with one salsa, I now have two. But I started with my salsa and am now full time! I’m definitely biased, it’s the only one I’ve worked with, but I’m so happy with my investment, the customer service and support, and so much more. PBSCO is a great company.
