That was pretty sad no one in the stands. They don't want people in the stand for attention they want people in the stands because that's what keeps drag racing going. If there are nobody in the stands then there will be no sponsors to put up money. Sponsors want people in the stands to see their product, if there's no one there to see it you're not going to sponsor it. And people in the stands by your t-shirts that you're selling with your car in your name on it. That's why when the drivers get out of their car and thank all the fans for showing up and say if it wasn't for you we would not be able to do this.

@@jjhalloran1159 Yea everyone gets that part, as I'm pretty sure he (original commenter) gets that as well, but as another commenter mentioned, it wasn't a spectator event, which is why absolutely no one was in the stands. It was just the drivers/crews and their families/friends; whom all put up and gathered all the money for this (personal) grudge race. It wasn't for attention, maybe some ego, but not for attention. 😝

I know that it was just a grudge race I was commenting on the original commenter saying people that want fans are there for the attention and not the drag racing. And people are jumping all over me saying well that was a grudge race there isn't going to be any fans there. Well it was a grudge race at the end of an event and if I'm at that event and there's a grudge race for a $140,000 you better believe I'm going to be there to watch that. I've never seen anyone race for $140,000. I appreciate you understanding what my comment was really about you are the only one.

@@blazer6248 you already know there are hundreds of races that never happen but only end in trash talk. This grudge race has been in the making for years. Sure the stands were not full but at this point I could care less. It’s a race that we are talking about and it happened. Now on to the next race or maybe we’ll get a rematch.

And yes, the pros in those other divisions partake in them. Just cause you see “grudge race” said on Street Outlaws doesn’t make that the standard.

It's a grudge race not a spectator race most graduations don't have many people just the ones that are involved with the race. Grudge races usually the drivers all put up money and whoever wins gets that combined money. So it's more of a racer's event than it is a spectators event. Not like the usual NHRA that you see packing out the house!

Because it's not a spectator race, it's a grudge race. So only the people involved with the race are technically aware of it going on or welcomed. A few stragglers who may hear about it might show up but it's strictly a grudge race for money

@@grandnatty172 it was a ticketed event. It's a new program on a Monday after a huge event the day before. You had a total 12 cars maybe. It's something to build on through week long festivities.

@@cellocardi6777 not for the invitational race, they have a outlaw class that lets you run what you brung as long as it’s a door car I think. Promods run in this outlaw class as well, all kinds of cars that don’t fit the points series rules run this class every weekend at NPK. Boosted gt himself on wes bucks show personally invited Stevie, to bring the shadow out to a outlaw npk race . Look it up yourself. and know what you’re talking about before you correct someone.

Shadow ran NHRA pro mod in 2018 with bars and big tires after he crashed the NHRA car. Its definitely weird to see though.

Well that is what it was about mate..... both racers said they had the fastest car just like two poker players say they have the greatest hand, they then have to match each other for the prize money - i.e. each is so sure he has the quickest/fastest car that he is willing to bet the most money he can raise...... the winner takes it all and it's first over the line - no times or speeds recorded..... just like poker !

They put in their own money into the pot and that's what they race for so everybody there racing had a combined amount of $140,000 that they equally put so whoever wins gets that money. Those kind of races usually don't draw crowds cuz most people don't know about them. Not really an NHRA event that would pack the house with 100,000 people like usual LOL
