Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales has for sale a true turn key, ready to go 1998 Mainship 350 trawler yacht. This yacht benefits from having the same owner for almost 20 years, and spent most of those years based in Canada. It is only in the past couple of years the yacht has made its way down to Florida, and enjoyed trips to the likes of the Bahamas before being placed on the market for sale.
This is an extremely easy to own, easy to operate, liveaboard that is more than capable of tackling longer adventures including The Great Loop.
You can find the details of this boat on Mark's website at www.mzyachts.com

The condition of this MS350 is outstanding! As you said, Mainships are one of the earsier boats to maintain, but it still requires dedication and a few $$ to keep them in this condition. These are great cruisers, and very comfortable for a couple, and even for a couple of guests on occasion. I've owned my 1999 for 12 seasons. Same boat and I assume it has the same Cat 3116 300hp. Mine has 3500 hrs+ and still purrs with no smoke and runs nice and cool at all RPMs. I do think the 11 kt cruise and 14kt wot is a tad optimistic, but I guess it would depend on the wieght of fuel, water, gear, etc. I will say that when I bought her, I would cruise at about 2100 rpm at 9 kts, but as time went on, I started running slower until my normal cruise is about 8kts at 1900 rpm for a burn of about 4 gph. If you're looking for a great cruiser to do the loop, this is the boat for you, because mine is not for sale!

Thanks for the detailed response. Personally, this is a boat I wouldn't be in a hurry to rush. I'd rather slow cruise my way round the loop, or island hop the Carribean. It has all the comforts and capabilities for doing just that 🤠

When Mark calls, the answer is yes 😁. I filmed a 2006 Mainship 34 for him as well over the weekend and should have that one live in the next few days.

I agree 100%. When I was asked to come film a boat that's over 20 years old, I never in a million years expected it to look this good!! I've seen new boats with less shine than this 😉

Clearly this lovely little boat has been well taken care of. To look at the condition of the interior and exterior I would never guess it was 26 years old. Would be a great choice for the Loop.

Timeless classic design, but in pristine condition. If you told me she was only a few years old, I'd believe you!

She surely doesn't look 26 yrs old. I appreciate the way you review boats. Yes, I tease you about your accent, (I Love It!) but you are still one of my favorite boat reviewers. @8:18 I was half-expecting a fireplace. 🔥 lol Although I was in grad school when this boat was built, I find the older boats, dare I say "Antique" have a lot of quality workmanship that the newer boats lack. Thanks for the wonderful review Garnock, you never disappoint.

Thanks for the support 😎 I agree about the older boats having the craftsmanship. Some of the newer boats have lost the character and appeal compared to boats like this in my opinion.

Perfect starter trawler. I really enjoy your presentation videos. Others should take note. Keep them coming. I hope I'll be in the market in the not too distant future. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you!! I appreciate the kind words. Out of curiosity, what sort of boat and budget are you going to be in the market for? My next video is a 2006 Mainship 34 for just under $200k

@@GarnockReviews Most often, the boats you showcase are typically what I hope to be pursuing eventually. Still some things to work out, but hope/plan to get a trawler/fast trawler type in the "foreseeable future". Hope to have 20 knts available if/when needed to run from weather. We'll probably be in touch eventually.

I really enjoy the older boat you review. Most new boats are kind of generic.

Thanks! I feel like a lot of newer boats have lost that nautical feel. I am a sucker for some nice interior woodwork, traditional wheel etc. To me a boat should look and feel like a boat instead of a floating car.

Думаю, чтобы продать такую лодку надо покрасить все деревянные панели в светлый (серый) цвет, поменять смесители на мойке и душе, дизайн сделать современным. Ну и тиковая палуба (синтетика) на корме.

I didn’t hear the boat has AIS, based on the general condition and equipment, I’m going to assume it does. Beautiful boat. Would like twin diesels, but it’s a darned nice single. Thanks for the great video…

@@GarnockReviews I saw that on your walk-through. 2 rod holders with 2 hooks on each is 4 fish per drop. The swim ladder looked a little funky and could be in the way while reeling in a big catch.
