This custom configuration is amazing! It's way better and practical than the standard layout that comes along with the normal N60's. Time to circumnavigate the globe. 😊
Really enjoyed the long awaited tour. What an amazing vessel she is - you’re Dad is clearly a very clever man, having the foresight to make the design changes to suit what he wanted! And how lucky you are to call it home whilst traveling around the globe!
I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed it!! He did lots of research and reading before building encore and made sure to change it all to maximize everything!! I’ve been very lucky to call this pretty ship home 🤩
Thanks for the tour. I had noticed the lack of a cockpit staircase and thought it a great idea, but I didn't notice the removed staircase in the pilothouse. Your Dad did a really great job with the planning of all these great changes. Enjoy your time on Encore, it's is truly an adventure of a lifetime. Looking forward to more great videos!!
Ah yes the removal of the staircase in the pilot house is major for helm space which is always nice :) the cockpit stair removal gave us room for a second tender. Remove all the stair cases! Lol not really but I am glad to have you along for the adventure, so happy to hear you are enjoying the videos :)
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality while showing your boat. The layout and changes you’ve made are amazingly functional. I can tell how much joy and enrichment it gives to each of your lives. You are literally living my dream! And for a little while you made me feel like a very welcome guest in your home. But most importantly, please hug camo for me. He is beautiful and really makes your boat a home. My prayers go with you for a safe and happy life. May God bless you all. Thanks again for a very enjoyable and relaxing morning, that gives pease to my heart. Take care. Your friend respectfully, Bruce.
One of the best boat tours that I have seen. And of my favorite boat! This was fantastic. Thank you for the time and thoroughness of the tour. Very nice!!! Love to see your dads pride of the boat and his daughter!!
Love the custom touches and layouts, Mike the Engineer shines through. The removing of the outside stairs and the overlapping of the internal stairs is brilliant. Also like that the two main staterooms are accessed from the same floor. I've never understood why Nordhavn makes such big heads on their regular designs, your layout is ever so much more practical. The addition of a shower to the Captains cabin is another brilliant touch.
I’m glad to hear that you like the layout, it’s just so nice and open with the staircase changes. And yes I agree no need for such large bathrooms, the size we have is plenty big. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed :)
That's probably the best layout I've seen on a 60 the full head in the captains quarters is amazing usually there's no shower beautiful job your Dad did on his changes
BEAUTIFUL! I mean, all Nordhavn's are, but Encore truly is AMAZING. I am impressed. "Come on Camo! Camo! Down we go Camo. Camo, show us the foredeck! Camo. Oh, look, it's Camo's Ride"
This is the best boat tour video. So complete. So well thought out and executed. So appreciate it. You should get a job with Nordhavn to do all their boat videos. Love the boat. Love the extras that Mike ordered and put in the boat. Wish it was mine. Thanks for the great video tour and all of your Adventure Tour Videos. Keep it going!!
WOW what a compliment, thank you so much. I’m so glad you enjoyed it so much, we tried our very best!! We are always open to job opportunities lol I agree he made some great modifications, I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos :)
Thanks for an excellent and very complete tour! All props to Nordhavn (their reputation speaks for itself) and to your Dad for such meticulous and thoughtful work in making an already impressive ship simply fabulous! You have every right to be proud of your good ship Encore! 😎
Excellent Boat tour. Beautiful well thought out layout decisions Mike. Most Captain cabins on Boats this size don't have showers. 3 queens are also a luxury not seen on Boats this size. Easy to see you are all proud to show off this treasure. Happy Cruising. 😊
So glad you enjoyed it! I agree he did a great job laying it out. It’s nice to have plenty of bed space and bathroom space especially when we have friends and family aboard. We love our floating home it works out great for us!
Just found you and subscribed! Loved the tour and the configurations/layouts are so smart! I’m an old boater from way back so am reliving some of the adventures with you! Enjoy your journey and thanks for allowing us to come along......Camo must be an old salt by now!! 🐶❤️
Hey there welcome!! I’m glad you enjoyed the tour and I agree, I love the changes that were made. Makes it so much more livable!! I’m sure you cruised to some incredible places over the years and Camo is loving his new ocean life :)
The staterooms on the other 60's have been why I didnt care for that length. Your pop's knocked it outta the park with the layout on Encore. Absolutely perfect!
Fantastic tour of the practicalities of your N60's, would love if you let the engineer in your Dad loose on a video about the engine room, what sort of maintenance and checks are required while under way. What checks are required while cruising? etc. Thank you
WOW, an amazing vessel, your Dad is a major dude, what a wonderful opportunity to be able to cruse on this beautiful yacht. Best part was when you said, now we will go look at our 'anchor stuff', very nautical, almost fell out of my chair , LOL, beautiful tour, thanks.
He is, it’s been a great time cruising together and exploring. Hahaha I know some technical lingo but not all of it, but it works you knew that I meant 🤣😉 lol
Thanks so much for sharing the videos! It allows me to enjoy watching so much awesome stuff and places that you guys go too, That I could never afford but I get to enjoy it through your camera. 😉😘
Nice floating device there. Just a suggestion that I’ve seen (or rather heard) in some of your videos. Try to put a sock over the mic so the wind noise muffles out. Great adventure you’re on and.. cool golf club storage 🤠 Subscribed
We have a dead cat on our microphone, it’s a big fuzzy thing to keep noise down but when it’s really windy you can still hear it, we also need to learn about our mic a little bit more! Glad to have you along for the adventure:)
thank you all for the walk round of your fathers yacht, I take my hat off to your father , as I've never seen a clean engine room as on Encore. Love the layout as well.
thank you for your reply, but can I ask how often does your father run the wing engine or service's both engines, sorry for all the Qs but I just love these boats.
We run the wing engine every time we turn on the boat because we use the wing engine to run our hydraulic pumps. The engines and generators get serviced(oil changes and filters) at different times, but I believe it’s about every 500 hours or every 6 months. Whichever comes first. There is probably some other servicing as well, but that is the main servicing it requires as well as checking coolant and oil levels before each use
Fun tour. I dont know if you guys remember a funny late 90s sitcom called "Just Shoot Me!" but if you do, your dad totally reminds me of the main character, Jack Gallo. Looks like him, sounds like him. David Spade who played Dennis Finch, I keep expecting to walk up behind your pop and say something funny yet sarcastic! Thanks for the fun tour. Give camo a hug.
Thank you for the tour of your amazing yacht. She's a beautiful mini-ship. I swear, Explorer's have got to be the best type of monohull there is. Other than speed, they're better than the rest in just about every way.
I saw the episode where you were anchored and a storm came through, but then I saw you were on a Nordhavn so I knew you were safe. Capt. Mike knows what to do. Stay safe
Great video, And ask the Captain mentioned. You should really do a video of all the work it takes to clean, maintain and all the work that goes into owning and operating a boat like this. i have a feeling a lot of people think you guys just enjoy, eat and do what you want
Oh I’m sure many people just see the dream and don’t even consider all of the work that goes into it. I try to include some of that into the videos and we will have a video out soon of us cleaning the WHOLE boat antenna to keel. And wow what a task that is
Pretty nice video tour there guys. Very informative and passionate with its delivery. You guys sure love your boat and the boat life. I know because i was raised and worked the waters most of my life and i love it as much as you. Whats next ???
I love the intuitive ECDIS systems, makes navigation so much easier and provides all information as you customise it. I think you can even plot in waypoints for great circle navigation today direct to the system. Nice and clever daughter and dad that makes a great presentation of a wonderful boat.
It really is incredible to have all of the information you need easily accessible right at your finger tips! Makes navigation a breeze. So glad that you enjoyed the walk through, I hope you enjoy our other adventures as well :)
Beautiful boat! Camo is sad you didn't show his bathroom ;-) You three did a great job on this. No running over each other and kept it moving nicely. Love it!
Lol thanks for noticing 🤣 it definitely required a little bit of coordination but we managed! Lol I think Camo was just protesting the fact that we were inside and not at the beach haha
What an incredible home! I love it very, very much. Your dad has really come through with a fantastic customized home. I really love the engine compartment, because you can go barefooted and have clean feet when you are finished walking around inside of it.
Ah yes his beloved engine room. He keeps that thing as clean as a whistle! Definitely won’t be coming out of there with oily or dirty feet! So glad you enjoyed the boat tour :)
From Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Hello beautiful people thank you for the awesome tour of the yacht. You are awesome people and your dog. Thank you for the video.
I found your channel, because I search "Nordhavn". I like the design changes on your boat. A great craft to live and play on! I enjoy your video style so I decided to subscribe to your channel. I'm excited to follow along on your "Adventures of a Lifetime"!
Thanks! It was a different kind of video to record but we had fun doing it!! So happy to hear you enjoyed it and the other videos as well. I can’t wait to visit beautiful Ireland one day!!
I love the N60, I think it used to be the N55, but they lengthened the rear cockpit and added a longer swim platform I think. The modifications your Dad did are amazing! Well thought out, my congratulations to Capt. Mike! This must be paradise in Bermuda, the Bahamas or Carribeans! My dream would be to go to Thailand through the Panama Canal and a stopover in Hawaii. I’m sure your yacht would make Mike Nelson jealous over his Argonaut! Haha! Fair winds and following seas! Pierre in Montreal 🇨🇦
Best tour of a Nordhavn yet! Love all of Mike's improvements with many smart upgrades We actually put an offer on a N60 in Florida in 2017 so we too like these vessels. You've got the perfect setup you guys. Just a great video!! 😎👏🐾⚓🦘
Wow what a compliment 🤩 oh wow I had no idea you were almost aboard a Nordhavn as well (or if you mentioned that to me I must have forgotten) glad you enjoyed seeing the setup and the video!!
I've watched quite a few yacht tours and this one certainly had the personal touch. I think Natalie and her Dad did an outstanding job detailing the features of their boat, Natalie not only understood the functions of the many mechanical parts, she presented in a warm and engaging style. She was also very attractive! This review/tour is right at the top for quality and content of any similar tours I have watched. Very nice people too and I could tell they loved their cute dog and that tells me a lot about their personalities. I got a kick out of him because he owned the boat and was very happy and showed it by wagging his cool tail all the time. One thing I gleaned from the tour was the importance of storage space on a boat, I guess you can't have too much storage. One question about the powerplant. Is there only one primary propulsion engine rated at 325HP? I know it has the smaller engine as a back up, but I would think a standard setup would be two main engines with much more HP? It didn't seem like having just 325HP is enough to push this large boat through rougher water. Thanks for your time and sail safe where ever you go.
We are so glad you enjoyed the tour!! We had fun putting it together and really wanted to cover all of the practicality of the boat, not just the specs! And it is crazy but yes it really does just have that one small engine pushing this big boat! We cruise slow, at about 7 knots and the single engine is actually more fuel efficient than the twin engine models. Some of the Nordhavns have twin engines but most are single engine. That’s how they are able to cross oceans so efficiently:)
You guys did a better job at presenting your little ship then a boat broker seller person. Great stuff guys. I love what the Daddy has done with the lady ship. Dad's are just so smart , yes I'm a father . Top video mini ship people. Now I'm gonna have ta watch all your vids .Cool
Thanks! It was our first time doing a boat tour but we tried our best!! And yes he did a great job re-configuring it! Enjoy the other videos!! We have some fun adventures, boat maintenance, and of course cruising 🥰
Always watching your adventures from Australia. Perfect presentation in a concise and informative way .Well done. I live on the most easterly point on the mainland, we have a place for you to park Encore. When are you coming????
Thanks for joining along on the adventure!! Glad you liked this video and glad that you thought it was a good walkthrough, we tried our best!! I’ve never been to Australia but it was on the list before Covid :/ now with everything going on who knows 🤷🏼♀️
Wow Wow Wow, what a great tour on such a great boat, I can picture that ship out to sea in some huge waves and she'll take it all in stride! So when you purchase a boat of such magnitude did you previously own a boat, and what is the learning curve like as there so many systems to learn? Also was that a Nordhavn docked on your starboard side? Well thanks for the tour and Cammo makes the boat all the more special!
SO glad you enjoyed the tour! My father has been on boats and has had boats his whole life starting with 30 footers and now making his way up to 60+ footers. Learning the systems took a while...its an ongoing process and yes that was another N60 docked next to us!
It's very well designed. I saw Nordhavn had adopted a lot of features of your boat to build their new 625. That means your choices and tastes are the best among all the Nordhavn 60s and 63s so Nordhavn has to make them standard for every new buyer.
@@adventures They eliminated the stair in the aft-cockpit and make two midship stairs overlaped to save a lot of room. I thought that brilliant idea came from your boat. Your dad really should consider to be a consultant of yacht designing.
Oh wow I didn’t know that!! It’s such a space saver I can’t believe they didn’t do it earlier! When he gets bored of retirement I’ll tell him to look into it. I agree that he would really be great at it as well!
Great walk-thru! Don’t forget that stunning cherry wood. Beautiful boat and layout. Camo is a great dog and it’s great he is such a good boater. Do you like the full length overhang on the cockpit?
Thank you, we are happy with how it turned out :) and yes the woodwork makes it look so nice and rich on the inside 😍 we got very lucky with how much camo loves boat life!! And we love it. Extra space above and it provides nice shade, if we want some sun there are plenty of other places to go to get that! Lol
