Finally, you have started your tour in Toraja. Btw most of the local dishes in Toraja have pork as the main ingredient. Looks like in this video you have just tried 1 type (Pammarasan from Pangi fruit = keluak). It is almost similar to Rawon in Javanese dishes. Unfortunately, the one cooked in bamboo ("Pa' Piong") was chicken, If it was pork then would be fantastic 😀. This type of dish ("Pa' Piong") normally uses pork as the main ingredient mixed with Mayana Leaves ("Bulunangko" in Toraja Language). Good to try if you have a chance later. Pork cooked with cassava leaves is also nice.

Loving that you're taking your kids to Tana Toraja, it's such wonderful to see you having interest in Toraja because not even many Indonesians have visited the area. The cracker I always buy whenever visit bendungan bili bili in Makassar. We have many sellers there. Memorable cracker. We would buy like 10 for 1 family. 9:22 the seller said "bisa Indonesia pale" It means "ah You know Indonesian!" Kinda. We have so many tribes languages here. I just know some mixed Makassar and Bugis languages.

@@BagsPackedFamily try famous coffee cafe in toraja , specially cming from awan district and drink w/ cookies from toraja , called Depatori .. and after taste u drink coffee and the sweet come frm the cake bcause made from brown sugar , so dont pour sugar n ur coffee
