I'll be honest, my first trip to India was a bit tough. I wasn't quite prepared for it. But after a few months off, I decided it was time to give India a second chance! I've been here a few days now, and let me say, I'm glad I came back! Although to get into the city and get my trip started, I first had to make it through Delhi Airport.
Being that I had only a backpack, I decided that upon arriving I would take a taxi directly to a place called Uttam Nagar for eating dinner. Luckily before arriving, I checked the price on Uber, and it was roughly only 250 INR, or around $3.11 USD. Now, Delhi airport they have taxi drivers standing outside waiting for you, who will charge higher prices. I decided to go along with it and see how much they charge.
They proceeded to try to charge me 1500 INR, or $20 for the ride. I agreed as I was curious what this priced taxi would get me. It definitely wasn't worth it. The driver was nice though.
