Similar situation to the $25 generator that I got a while ago. This Husqvarna weed wacker was marked down because it was previously used. We try to get it running and cutting again.
I know im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can give me
Yup, used un-mixed unleaded. Piston gone core-melting temp, probably locked up & people returned it like ThIsStUpIDtHiNgBrOkEnDoN'tWaNtAnYmOrE . Probably with new piston rings would be back to healty compression.
@@TheAndre8900 Yep, and then probably blamed (name your country of choice for cheap labor) for it being junk. It looks like the 128LD which I bought from Lowes 5 years ago and has never failed to start right up and run well with a minumum of service. I recognize it partially because the starting instructions (which no one seems to look at) are right there on top. Reading and following them makes it miraculously start right up.
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ru-vid.comUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
Garrett Downen a w stroke will run on straight gas for a while as I bought a 2 stroke rc car that was Run for 35 mins on straight gas but it works fine and starts a lot better than my others
I live in Nebraska, but that's ok. Last year I found a ryobi multi head with 3 attachments hanging out of someones trash can. $6 for a replacement gas line and filter kit and 45 mins later I had a fully working trimmer, edger & leaf blower/ vacuum. God bless people who don't want to work on their stuff.
You just earned yourselves another subscriber with your well produced videos, charming banter and quality pointers. This is the first one I ran into, and if the rest are nearly this good I’m in for a treat.
one time my dad had a weed eater that no small engine shop could get running so he let me mess with it as a kid and take it apart and go figure i pull it apart and it had a wasp nest in the muffler and i removed it and it started right up
I came across this channel randomly cause of the generator vid and stuck around for a few more. Glad I did! Pretty entertaining! You guys make a great team and you explain things well while being sorta funny without trying to hard! I think I’ll hang around for a bit! 😁
I’m just 3000 miles out in sFla. This is an easy piece to fix. Wish my luck was as good as yours! Camera girl Rocks!!! Let her fix things, Camera Girl Garage!
Waiting for a video of yours is like waiting for a bike part to get delivered. And I can wait for bike parts tie get delivered. Hats how much I like your content
Love watching your videos! You guys put a smile on my face every time. I have absolutely no interest in fixing engines. Your banter is what makes this so great. Keep it up!
Hey Jenny, ask him if he checked the tank cap for a breather hole. Sometimes the manufacturer is careless and doesn't conduct QA on the rubber seal. If air can't get in then fuel can't get out to the carb. It'll run for a couple of minutes then cavitate and starv for fuel. I miss you guys, keep 'em coming.
I do enjoy your vids. The fun banter between you and your wife makes it more entertaining. I wish I lived with in that 250 mile range but alas I live almost on the east coast. Keep up the good work and good times.
This is the first video by these folks that I've watched. Glad I did. It was informative and the banter between the lady and the guy made this a very enjoyable video. Whoa sorry about your hair loss there sir.. But I really don't think it matters to her... Think ya got a keeper. Ha Ha.
Cape Cod Canal Fishing People do not even know how to use them anyways. They dump straight gas into them and burn them up. I get handed so many of these things every season. I put a $12 rebuild kid in them and off they run. People do not realize they need adjustments and they dont read the manual. Instead of taking the time to read the manual and take the time to learn how they run, they put them in the trash. Bas gas makes the diaphragm weak and these things quit working. I have plenty of them for sale every year. I always say they are like a bic lighter, when they run out of gas, throw them out and get a new one. Its great for me anyways. I have learned to buy carb kits in bulk, most carbs all take the same kit. Some kits come with parts for 6 different carbs, just pick out what parts go where and boom! Off it goes. Then its money in the bank.
Dave Spooney just like his life. Meanwhile I’m sitting in bed watching a dude fix things as I leave my broken pressure washer, lawnmower and chainsaw sitting in my garage lol
I have the Husqvarna 4 Stroke and it's great the Engine is made by Honda as well I was tired of messing with 2 Stroke I always maintain it with ethanol free fuel and full synthetic oil.
I F'n hate spark arrestors but since I'm an arborist and do commercial mowing and blah blah blah I have to keep them. They don't say I can't modify the exhaust though
"Starts on choke, put it on half choke and see what happens"... Yeah, that clearly seen label at 2:05... helpful LOL I have the same model. I fought mine like an idiot leaving choke on full trying to get it to start... ended up snagging a fingernail on the vented cover and ripping it (my nail) part off... a couple hours and cuss words later, read the label... followed that and for over a year no problem ever starting.
@@ChrisBlagdonIsABoss Yea. You take the rubber parts off of the carb and dont spray them with carb cleaner. Carb cleaner is made to clean out the build up in the ventures of a carb, while you use less caustic products on the rubber components.
I never comment on videos..but my weed eater broke a couple of days ago I cleaned the carb put it back and nothing. I came across this video and I had crossed the fuel lines now it works lol. Thank you so much.
I have this trimmer. It's been fantastic, ever since I bought the proper $8 tool to adjust the carb. I've had it for 5 or 6 years and it's starts great every time. I use the canned premix Husqvarna fuel.
Just found your channel by happenstance. I am a lawn care nut, but I won't hold it against you. 😉 subscribed! Simply because I thought ya'll have a good attitude about things, and your randomness is much like the randomness my wife and I share, as well. Nice video!
Yo I just subscribed your channel strictly base on the dry humor between you and your wife i thought you all were funny funny BE blessed Jah Rastafari Salassie I JAH
Leon Boerkamp no you have to adjust the two screws for the gas and oil at the exact spot until it runs perfect it happens to me millions of times when I am doing projects it happens so yeah your right
Another thing to check would be the spark arrestor. It is basically a screen on the exhaust outlet and after a while it gets plugged up with carbon. I had this same issue on my old weed-eater and when I cleaned the spark arrestor with a blow torch it came back to life again.
I'm 69 ,doing my own yard, I have 3 weed eaters that I cant use ,due to the heads & how they run..lol however I truly enjoyed your lol videos,,you explained it better then others have. I liked the comics.😁
I believe I know your exact issue...because I have the exact weed eater and it happened to me! Check inside your gas tank. There (should) be a (fuel filter or an aerator) attached to the end of one of the fuel lines going into the tank. MINE WAS OFF! The fuel line had completely rotted inside of the tank within two seasons of having the machine. I was going crazy trying to figure out what in the heck was wrong with my (brand new) weed eater! Drained the tank of gas and there was something rolling around in the tank! My bigger issue was that the fuel line was rotten. The cheapest fuel line possible! I know you said you don't want to spend any money, but a buck or two from the hardware store won't break ya and will leave you with an excellent weed eater :) I hope this comment finds you!
Propel use to buy push mowers and not put the oil in them and lock them up and then return them at a place I worked at. So then they had us start putting the oil in the push mowers for them.
I do small engine repair myself and now am considering making repair videos. Adjusting your high and low on the carb will make it run properly and get the most out of what's left of the engine as well as remedy the hard starts. You covered just about the rest of the vitals. Clean it up and it could sell easy between 120 to 150 if you weren't giving it away. 100 profit isn't bad for a 19 dollar investment and a few hours of labor. Good video.
