Ominous Seas is one of my new favorite cards. Combine it with a lot of card draw and you could so easily get an 8/8 kraken onto the battlefield by, like, turn 5, if not earlier.

I am really enjoying Ominous Sea in a cycle deck, I run 4 of them. Get them 8/8 Krakens out pretty quick with all the cycle draw and planeswalker draw. The tokens and planeswalkers make for a great distraction. I am working on making a specific deck for each companion, pulled a Gyruda in draft :)

So far i feel the green color is the best to build a deck around MUTATE, accompanied by blue, mana ramp, and lastly u can plus black or red up to you The broken mutate card is the auspicious starrix, it goes crazy if u cant handle it early

You asked what decks we are running. I’m just coming back into magic after a 20 year hiatus and bought 2000 random cards from ebay and patched together a few quick decks. Mono black mill/discard, mono black drain/vamp, red/black trample.

I love playing mutate I think it's an amazing mechanic. But like you said I will play my squirrel and it usually dies next turn or the turn after before mutate can actually do anything. It's extremely weak against removal and sparks/lightning bolts.

I built a deck with Lurrus. That mono black deck based around Priest of the Forgotten. I use Lurrus to keep bringing back the sacrificed creatures. I have 4 copies of Serrated Scorpion in there, some Couldrins familiar/witch oven, catches everybody off guard in BO1

I've been making a flash build with Slitherwisp and a light mutate edge to it on Arena (basically using the snake as control and then sap life with some of the mutate cards), it has been a pretty fun deck so far. Can't wait for the set to release!

So to clarify, every box topper is a foil Godzilla Series Card (1 of 15; doesn't include BAB promo or 3 Japanese exclusives). And you cannot get Godzilla Series cards in standard packs. They come 1 per in the Collectors Boosters. You can get Godzilla Series cards, foil or otherwise, in standard Japanese packs, though. But not the English ones. Other showcase cards with the pop movie at are pullable in all packs.

I just hope I can get my hands on Obosh Preypiercer, Whisper Squad, Bastion of Remembrance, and maybe Nightsquad Commander. Because the aggro can scale pretty well even if it stretches to midgame.

Evolving Wilds is a reprint, and one of the most demanded reprints ever, besides Terramorphic Expanse. Evolving Wilds was first printed in Zendikar or Worldwake I believe, could be wrong. But I do know that I own a few from around that time frame lol.

Fire prophecy and serrated scorpion are clearly well designed tools already seeing play across some different genres in the meta. It’s pretty obvious we will be seeing these until they rotate out in a lot of builds which exploit looting or drawing or death matters or death triggers or life interactions matter, or I needed a body to mutate, or to bury my second winota to look for a 4th land to play the one I’m keeping. These cards are gold yo!

Generally the only constructed format I play is Brawl, so my evaluation of cards is skewed to a limited perspective. My Sharona however is such a collectible that it really is going to be worth the price it ends up having. The number of alternate art pulls is higher than 15 since you forgot to check the rare pile, which at least contained an alternate art Everquill Pheonix. Thank you for showing us what we can expect to find in draft boosters.

I think that godzilla box topper will stay one. Of the 2 most expensive cards in the deck but by 2 weeks after release it'll drop down to 120.00 or so. It'll go back up some years in the future.

I was able to get a 7-0 and a 7-1 in standard events with General Kudro and BW humans. Having such great graveyard hate maindeck in this best of 1 format has been amazing. I don't know how good and long lasting the deck actually is, but now is it's time to shine!

Actually speaking of mutate I made a sultai mutate deck on aetherhub (user is same as name) it’s pretty good I tested it out on arena it’s pretty insane I would recommend it badboygaming
