Idk if I would run a 3 inch magnum thru that jc Higgins my gun Smith told me that the 12 gauge versions got recalled for the bolt shearing off and hitting people. I have a 20 gauge version and he told me he is glad it is not the 12 gauge

I thought the same thing about the 22, it seems to be just as reliable as the 10/22. You should make more gun videos. This was one of your best in my opinion.

Late on the feedback but I have two shooters of the same type. The bolt action shotgun was marketed as an affordable gun for goose hunting back in the day (Got a Marlin in 20 guage) and the .22 was indeed a trainer. the re-assembled West German army was re-equipped with US arms initially after WW2 ended but they always started training troops with .22s so ERMAwerks created M1 Carbines for training in .22 and Iver Johnson followed some time later.

I like the poly choke. I don’t think another 12 gauge has been built in recent times that only shoots a 2 3/4” shell. That is a throwback for sure! Maybe a turkey or goose gun?

That .22 is exactly like my 1st rifle my dad bought me when I turned 10. Miss it; my sisters methed up boyfriend stole it and pawned it in Oklahoma City about 20 years ago; if anybody bought one at a pawnshop in OKC with the initials J.B. burned into the stock that is the one. I'd pay well over market to get it back.

I have a Sears and Roebuck bolt action 12 with a fixed modified choke. My grandpa pulled it out of a trash can and took it to a gunsmith to fix up. It's also a great shooter! The 22 is awesome! Great video!
