that was the original idea but Frank is still raising his heritage chicken and waiting on the fennel harvest... he's also currently in the Himalayas mining his own salt
Just like Frank and the other chefs from ICE, she explained each step to maximize an inexpensive ingredient with technique. But the ICE chefs are instructors that do that for a living.
Words arent enough to say how much I respect this pro chef..... She didn't disrespect the ingredients.... She does maximum possible use for all ingredients without adding anything new... And at the start every pro chef usually says " I'll use my chef skills to make it better" But she said I'll use technique..... That's how you know the person is nice down to earth and their skills are enough to show off and they don't need to say it.... Hats off... We need more people like her....
It looks like a standard family reunion dinner, it's all about giving it her technique to add something that will keep the family guessing, how do you do it.
I knew exactly who you talking about, and yes i think he's a bit cocky from the first time i saw him. Idk why people love him so much, yes he's very talented but his vibes are just... Idk :)
@@madelinekusuma4009 Exactly.... Too braggy... Like there's a thing called humbleness....Everyone knows you are a chef.... What is with my chef skills...Every damn time🌚🌚😂
Lish is great, she seems so wholesome. I clicked for Lorenzo, but every minute of her entertained me greatly. Both of them made this episode great. I hope to see more of Lish!
Lish seems like lots of fun. "You have a chicken just relaxing on the beach", "so she's sitting properly on a porch", "I'm married again". These two would be great friends.
I think this was my favorite duo. They were just so enjoyable to watch, no forced behaviors or awkward bits and their interaction in the end was just... mwah! *chef's kiss*
I like this new lvl 3 chef. So laid-back, funny, fun. It's criminal that she doesn't have her own cooking show. Unless she does...then someone fill me in lol.
Lish is such an amazing cook. Not cocky. Lots of knowledge.. she stuck to Lorenzo’s ingredients. And she is so “refined”. A winner. I hope to see her in many more episodes..
More of Lish Steiling! She was so good at explaining every step and ingredient. Please, please, please, have more of her here. I'm going to make her chicken in a few days, count on it!
Lorenzo is an excellent cook--there is just no going around that. Of course he is lots of fun to watch. Epicurious--get Chef Lish on again. She's actually an excellent teacher, upbeat, and relaxed--one of my favorites.
This was my first time seeing Lish on this show and not gonna lie, she's a keeper! She's utterly charming and it looks like she works really well with Lorenzo. That and her chicken simply looked divine!
Update: omg Chef Lish, THANK YOU for teaching me about compound butter. I made rosemary lemon compound butter and used it on roast chicken thighs and potatoes today. It was AMAZING!! My husband has been making happy sounds too. For the past 20 mins. I hope we see you again soon. Thanks to you, Rosemary, and the entire team for all you do. I've learned so much from everybody watching these videos. 😍💕
I loved how mutual and natural their interaction was at the end of the video! This was a truly wholesome episode, just like how wholesome the chickens looked!
Loving this duo so far, the episode was so nice, the vibe was chill and friendly and both dishes look amazing. Lorenzo as usual is gold, and this new chef was just super nice and easy going.
I was thinking the same thing. Is he still considered a home cook? He's been on here getting tons of tips from the Epicurious staff/chefs. Bare minimum he should be considered a sous chef.
What a brilliant episode! she only used lorenzo’s ingredients and didn’t add anything else of her own choice AND STILL MADE IT LOOK DELICIOUS. Now thats a pro chef we all need on this show.
Wow I could watch/listen to chef Lish talk all day. She has such an effortlessly engaging but calming persona that you just can't help but listen to every word she says. What a lovely duo. Lorenzo is charming as always. Definitely up there as one of my favourite ingredient swaps ever. Hope to see more of her (them) in the future!!!
Lish is my new favorite, she is the most wholesome and sweet and not depressed as other Level 3 chefs who use fancy gadgets and Lorenzo is just the perfect ray of sunshine to have in the kitchen
I just wish whoever made the subtitle asked Lorenzo about that Filipino saying *and* put it in the subtitle! Just putting "speaking foreign language" in the subtitle is not enough!
I'm pretty dang sure that if all the previous episodes are to go by, there may have been an addition to the rules specifically to make it illegal to add any ingredients whatsoever on the pro chef's end.
This has to be one of my favorite episodes. Always love Lorenzo!!! Chef Lish is also fun to watch because she shows her love and respect for food. Great job Epicurious!!!
I absolutely loved Lish! Not only was she such a genuine presence, but she made it so we actually learned a lot about what she was doing and why she was doing it. Would love to see her again!
There's worse: I once bought a 70years old balsamic vinegar. 17 cm³ for 400 €. It was like tasting liquid heaven, a divine nectar made by the gods themselves.
@@martynamaczyszyn He was on episode 4 of Top Chef Amateurs, but it seems like he was only on that one episode since it's structured differently from regular Top Chef where it's two home cooks going up against each other each episode rather than a group of 12-ish cooks getting eliminated one by one each week. It seems like you can steam it on Hulu, RU-vid TV, and some other places if you're a paid member of those (sadly I can't find any free streaming place for the show, even on Bravo's website).
man i just love these videos they're so... relaxing, funny and compensating because if you watch the pro chef you can see what good things you can do with little money but only some practice, well a lot of practice
Lish and Lorenzo are such a good combo. Lorenzo being a loud fun person while Lish is quieter but still just as funny somehow even complementing Lorenzo. Would love to see them paired with eachother once again
For a home chef, I just love how Lorenzo understands a dish, he just shows that experience and love of cooking, I'd probably say, he's borderline level 3.
I'm really enjoying the swap especially now that get to see and taste each other's creation. Chef Lish and Lorenzo did so well. Both entertaining and food looked so good .
I enjoyed this, the personalities were both great and their passion for the food was infectious. I appreciated that the "fancy" chef didn't put down the simple ingredients or play up the snobby jokes. The comedy didn't overshadow the actual cooking.
The difference between LIsh and Lorenzo is so huge but they still work in the same episode so well. Lish is very chill, knowledgeable, and creative, and Lorenzo is funny and completely chaotic.
Wow this new chef is so fun 🥰🥰 i love her, she and lorenzo both brighten the video with their presence. Lorenzo did great with arranging the platter, so vibrant ❤️
