When I was a little girl I used to memorize the quotes on some of the cards and turn them into songs. Scathe Zombies and Wall of Ice were my favorites to sing.

In middle school, I played two decks against eachother and wrote a crappy story about it, adding quotes from the cards in. Nantukos vs Slivers, it was very cringeworthy. Thanks for reminding me, I want to jump off a cliff now

This is probably too dangerous and not recommended. Even the mere sight of his PSA 10 collection is likely already enough to roil the markets with fears of a hypothetical dump, however unlikely. Its sheer size could cause investor knees to buckle and create great price volatility in cardboard markets. Moreover, to be able to show it all at once, he would need to bring it all into the same physical location, creating such a high concentration of luxury cardboard the consequences of which are not well understood. He could cross some critical threshold and set off a runaway chain reaction, with wahmen climaxing simultaneously for miles around his basement.

I feel like I'm weird for this but I grew up playing this game with my brother. I find a card that has some use is much more interesting to me than a perfect 10 card. At my age I want a card with some story to it. It's just brings back old memories that I love.

I remember him talking about some of the strategy guides that are/were in the bookshelf. I collect them so I was interested, and he also showed some games off. I know he had Rule Of Rose for PS2 which is one of the most expensive games for the system. I dont see them in this video. They have a white spine with a lil yellow strip at the top (BradyGames strategy guides).

@@kaminarikatuhstrofik9534 basically, a "Pokemon Expert", middle manned a 375k deal for a 1st Ed Base Set booster box with Crypto as payment. They opened the box. All junk inside. The box had been offered around for a while but no one bought cos they could tell the reseal. Apart from the so called "expert" who middle manned it.

Wow these bring back memories... if only Id...sob, sob.I lost my first collection of MTG in a fire. Started collecting again at 4th edition, quit, sold my collection. Started again in 9th and M10. Quit, sold my collection after getting mad at WOTC. Started collecting this year to play with my sons. ZENDIKAR RISING set booster boxes and M21 promo boxes. Now I'm a full blown collector again. At least until WOTC ticks me off again. Thanks Rudy for the great memories. I do still have some left from the days of Tempest, Whirlwind etc. And I kept 4 of my championship decks from the nationals in 2010 where I managed a 21st place in my state of MI. Back then it was Bant aggro ruled the day.

I was convinced Dark Ritual was the most powerful card, ever. :) I knew about Black Lotus but I actually had a few copies of Dark Ritual, not sure what set, by the odds probably Revised of 4th ed. So yeah, I always felt like a boss playing Dark Ritual. :)

Dude, this makes me so sad. All these cards were my childhood. I mean I've played and had all these cards in my hands when I was 10 or 11 maybe, never realizing I was holding gold... If you have some of these cards now, would you still be able to sell them for a good price or is it only worth something if it's inside a starter deck like that? This brought me so many memories, every single card of this Alpha starter deck triggers memories, it's insane... (I'm from 1987)

I used to love Sleight of Mind and Magical Hacks back in the day. I must of had a dozen of Unlimited and Revised I used in my various blue decks. I loved Hacking Flashfires when casting it to something else in my land eater deck. Suck fun times. LOL

That resealed box was sold to a streamer for sure. The streamer will claim it’s sealed, unbox it on stream. Make money on top of a tax write off.

Anyone else think the alpha cards is it's own phenomenon? I dont know what it is, but I think the alpha cards have a look to them that you almost can taste. It's like with lava. It looks like it tastes good when it flows. I get the same feeling with alpha and beta cards. What is wrong with me!!
