Let's go on a $30 Sephora vs Ulta shopping challenge! If you're new here, I love posting shopping videos and trying new beauty products, all while encouraging financial responsibility. My goal is to help you find great beauty items without going into debt or overspending.
In this video, i'm going to cut down my budget and see what $30 can get me at Ulta vs. Sephora. It might be challenging to find multiple items at Sephora, but I'll share the best picks within this budget and some splurge products i'm considering for the future! 👀 Watch until the end to find out if I succeeded.

I love these kind of videos! Ulta just had a 15 off 50 prestige so I was able to stock up on a couple good skincare products! It’s one of the reasons I love ulta

financial mindfulness and intentional purchases, i love this sm!!! my goal in being intentional while buying makeup & skin care is to find a handful of products i really like (while also focusing on budget friendly quality over brand names/viral products) and use them up before buying more rather than having a collection of the same kind of product and never getting through them all so this was really fun to watch!

What’s funny is I held out on buying glossier lip balms or summer fridays during the sephora sale. Well when they came out with strawberry and all the others in the OG formula I am so grateful I waited so many years. I am so happy and grateful I am in a place I can buy it now as I dreamed of such a thing when the brand started. It aint much, but its enough for me ❤

romand, peripera, and dasique has rlly good lip tints! i esp love the dewy waterful tint from romand in custard muave (cool toned). i think u would look good in the shade canyon tho.

I went to Sephora today and spent $110 after $10 in points on 4 items I cried on my way home lol I got my favorite Tower 28 concealer, Sol de Janeiro body spray, Tower 28 lip jelly in Wild, and a mini Huda Beauty setting powder.

Love shopping on a (realistic) budget. With my rent, ph/power/internet, food, pet related items, transportation costs, medical fees, birthday gifts for families (almost every month), and paying back debts I only literally got $30 max per month on beauty items. Usually, I scroll through the internet for what I want and wait for a Sephora sale, then buy just those items meanwhile shop my stash. I do agree quality is better than quantity so I don't go for the cheapest thing or just buy random makeup on dirt cheap sale. Having said all this, I am waiting for the next Sephora sale just to get 4 natasha denona items so I am saving all the $30/month for this 😅 Love your videos

I can’t blame you for spending over the budget. Because if I was in Sephora three items, depending on what I get, is like almost $60. But it’s a bit easier because they have the drugstore section. I feel like at the end of the day if you’re in your favorite store, you sometimes can’t control yourself. I enjoyed watching the video tho regardless

You should definitely check kbeauty lip products out!!! From the top of my head i would recommend brands like rom&nd, dasique, etude and peri pera for lip products. They have a lot of different lip product lines, formulas and finishes and like u mentioned a lot of shades (a decent amount that works on brown skin surprisingly!)

Do you have a foundation rec for someone with red and dark hair acne marks that NEVER get covered with any foundation or concealer. I have really acne prone skin and combo skin that gets oily over time in the t zone! I was looking at the hourglass ambient foundation but I want to think about other options ! I tried the merit stick but found it a bit too dry

Most foundadiona and concealers still don't cover my hyperpigmentation, so I personally try to limit my expectations. But I'd recommend a peach concealer to cover dark spots (I use Huda) and I love the It Cosmetics Matte CC cream. My favorites are always linked in the description. 🫶

I would think you could only get maybe 1 thing in Sephora for 30 dollars, or 2 mini products. I am very money conscious and somewhat stingy with money. So I tend to feel guilty if I spend it on something not needed
