I think you're absolutely right. With the "safe-serv" safety thing they mentioned a few episodes back, it sounds like Nicole's got the certs to be the administrative chef (and cook doubles for those cooking-show instant swaps), while Josh is freed up to be creative. She absolutely does wrangle him sometimes, just like Stevie and the guys.

Rewatched this one because I really like the content they filmed at the butcher. Not many episodes have this amount of content from outside the kitchen. The process of breaking down the different cuts of meat was interesting. I do have to say I find it pretty amusing that Josh was closer in his "meat mountain" weight estimate than the actual butcher. Though in fairness I'm not sure Jered took the game entirely seriously.

Teaching your kids to butcher meat is one of the best choices. I learned to butcher chicken and clean beef as a pre teen... Just have fun! I even think about learning about the whole process of raising chickens for special days. Pluck them feathers and all.
