I know you mentioned you waited overnight, and 15 min drying time would probably not be sufficient, but I wonder what the minimum drying time between glitter applications might be? This would be such a fun girls night or pre-teen/ teen sleepover/party diy if not too long in between.
You know with those fall leave you could have just used a clear iridescent glitter and the tack it method. Those leaves would have popped. However that color combo is one of my favorites. I love browns.
