I put plastidip on my oem rubicon wheels when I bought it new in 2011. Wheeled it, washed them a ton of times over the course of almost 2 years. That dip still looked as good as day one. Sold those wheels still dipped and that dip lasted the second owner a couple years. So, yeah, stuff is durable. When done right. ;)

After watching your previous video I did mine. It still looks good with no issues to date. I did not scotchbrite mine only cleaned them really good.

Came out nice! Didn’t think I could use plastidip, ended up using high temp flat black to be safe.

I did mine as well with Plasti-Dip about 4 months back. Only thing issue I ran into is it the coating gets soft when hot. If you backup in a brush, it will remove the Plasti-Dip. ;) BUT, it was easy to fix and only took a few minutes. But it looks freakin awesome, no regrets. Now, we'll see after a winter how it holds up.

I did this on mine and it holds up well. I sprayed mine with some rattle can clear on top of the plastidip. Keeps the plasti dip from getting dull.

I wish there was a way to replicate that initial coat. It has that gun metal look to it. But the end result looks phenomenal.

When I re-did my exhaust I went with 5 inch black tips that fill out the rear bumper really well

each to there own i love my chrome nice exhaust tips,im probably the only one here though over 65..lol..

How long do i need to wait after plasti dippin the tips before I can drive my truck? Does it need to cure a certain amount of time before i can drive?

I did mine about a yr or so ago,didnt hòld up to bad..I also glossed it some and it was better..Then winter came and i backed into some hard snow and ruined it..So now they are powder coated..

This is a bad idea, I plasti dipped my exhaust tips on my 2018 Ram 1500. Let’s just say the plasti dip didn’t hold well under heat. It completely melted away and was difficult to clean off burnt infused plasti dip 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️
