Imo trunks definitely had layers based on how his hair moved when he flew. Would have left some hair on the sides That would have made a world of difference
Man just shearwork would work... Level the sides and leave the top longer... Blow dry and see if its they right length... If not, cut more from the top that was it
this why I love your channel. you readily admit your "mistakes" and it makes for a better learning experience. a lot of people only will show the great haircuts and how do I learn from that when most clients have imperfections which make cutting way more difficult
It’s funny how the videos that I sometimes think aren’t worth dropping impact the most. My dawg Dre told me once that most people show their highlights on the internet. I don’t think it’s always to impress. trunks had a middle part bowlcut on thick hair with a very flared and accentuated raw cut just under the occipital knob of the skull - NOT an undercut. this haircut was very popular in the 80s-90s, the reason ppl are upset is because the undercut is a very 2010s look when he wanted a classic 90s middle part bowl cut. if it was me i would have never lifted his hair up- i would’ve used the clippers while the hair was still down to retain volume and carve out that flared shelf around his neck.

Hey brother, I wouldn’t say I’m a better barber than you, however this haircut could’ve been executed so much better. So many options, I understand he said take it all off but imo it just look weird. Tying it up may be good tho 1. A mid taper with bulk on crown ridge and back area 2. A scissor cut with shorter sides 3. A drop fade with bulk
