I explored more of Colombo today with ‪@GoWithAli‬, we bought sunglasses off a very energetic man and then took a trip to a famous Buddhist statue. We then went to Ceylon Curry Club where we had an incredible 3 course meal with a mix of British and Sri Lankan food which was the best I had had in Sri Lanka so far. Compliments to the chef and staff for a wonderful evening there.

This restaurant very recommended for every tourist who come to Colombo. They serve traditional food which served with unique plate and luxury dining table make the food looks soo stunning&interesting to taste. Harry & Ali are goodlooking so no worried what you are wearing is still look good either cheap or expensive stuff.

Nice sunny vlog again!😎. The amount of sunglasses you buy should see you with a series based just on the glasses alone😂 that sunglass seller seemed like a experienced confident handler , mobile donuts to go and Riaz seemed a humble guy. That view was amazing from the top of that Stupa tower including the port area , donut well burned off then 😅and evening dinner to finish off the day👌 . Devil chicken sounds 🌶 but for the love of god don’t drink fizzy pop as that’s like pouring fuel on fire 🔥 you will feel more heat in your mouth with carbonated liquids 🥵.. well it’s what Iv experienced in the past .. enjoy machans 😀👍❤️

Acctually, this shape of the Stupa is called "Gantakara " in Singhala ,i.e. Bell shape, there are other types as well, water Bubble type,( Bubbula kara )

those tuk tuks with bakery stuff are called "Chuun Paan" here. everytime i see one it bring back good childhood memories. there was a time when we were kids everytime we hear that beatiful music we quickly run to road to buy some buns and other stuff🤩

The chicken skewers were with ‘kochchi’ which is one of the spiciest chilli 🌶 peppers in Sri Lanka. It’s spicier than green chillies!

Brinjal ls is Abugeine or egg plant but in Sri Lanka it is light purple with little bit of white on t. He also mentioned it has laddies fingers, which is known as Okra. Arrack is made from Coconut,,. Kithul toddy is made from the Kithul tree so is the Syrup they also make jaggery.. many people drink plain tea with a peice of jaggery.

Aubergines 🍆 are called brinjals in SL. Brinjals found in SriLanka are a bit smaller than the Spanish Aubergines you find in UK

The music that you liked at 7:04 was Beethoven's Für Elise :D That's the music these bread/pastry trucks all over the country use. When you hear Beethoven, you know it's time for some tea haha You guys were right, that was aubergine/eggplant, they're just called "brinjals" in Sri Lanka. That was not wasabi/horseradish on the skewers, the server said it was "kochchi". Kochchi is a type of chili which is smaller than normal chilies but packs a lot more heat, that's why the skewers were very spicy

There are many people in Sri Lanka without jobs, struggling to get enough money for food or provide for their family Rather than give a trader double the asking price for a pair of shorts, think about the people who could do with your extra 500 rps. Give it to someone who is more needy, not someone who is earning a regular income. It's your money, it's up to you how you throw it away, just think first ! give it to someone who would appreciate it more. Enjoy your travels, take care, and use your money sensibly. A great day ended with a great meal Harry That meal looked scrumptious and the presentation was awesome, aubergine(brinjal, eggplant ) different name for the same vegetable, ladies fingers (okra in the USA and some other parts of the world, Buffalo curd, and palm honey is the most famous signature dessert in Sri Lanka,(prepared in a unique way at the restaurant) the waiter was a knowledgeable man, picked the right dishes for you guys. Rs.1800 For pair of glasses is too much bro. in pettah market it would be around 800 to 1000.but its still worth paying extra cash if u really like the design.
