$500 EBAY PARTS vs. 2010 FORD F150 

Heads up about your truck. There is a rebuild kit for fuse 27, a 20 Amp fuse that burns up and kills your truck. You won't get a code or anything. Go to the store, come out, turn the key and nada. Put a new fuse in #27 to get you home and then use the rebuild kit to move the fuse to fuse location #70. If you don't make the rebuild, your fuse box will melt and it won't be fixable until you do the rebuild. The fuse is for the fuel pump. The tiny yellow 20amp fuse gets too hot and melts inside the space thus melting the fuse box case. The rebuild kit moves the fuse to a more durable 20 Amp type fuse. This applies to All 2009 to 2014 F150s. Y'all owe me a cold Michelob gold beer for saving you towing and repair bills for something the OBD can't detect. And, oddly, the truck will act like nothing is wrong and the shop won't figure it out. Then it'll happen again and again and again...and make you broke and crazy. I think the sparkplugs service is easier and less expensive in parts than the transmission fluid exchange, but they charged 3x more.

I have the same 2010 truck with a supercab. I recently added a backup camera and double din with Apple car play. I recommend that to be your next modification. Also consider adding remote start. Those mods plus led lights made it a modern truck.

Nice upgrades to the truck. I suspect it's going to be put to work on house stuff, but there's no reason it can look good doing it.

Most of that bill was realistic from the shop repairs.. but $345 for replacing plugs!?! unless they did the coils too? If not that's pretty crazy.

im not the biggest fan of that grille, but I think half the problem is running it unpainted makes it look like a work truck coming down the road. I know it's just more of a budget build.

You'd think for 1650 bucks they'd fix the exhaust leaks I can hear them in the video, I have a 12' and washed to bad to get away from the 5.4 and went with the 5.0 so much nicer and more power. But I like the video because I have to swap my front bumper and it looked fairly easy, mines kinked too someone backed into me.

I would paint the bottom of the doors black to tie the truck together. I believe they're called the rocker panels. You could do like a matte black or maybe use a rhino liner

I must have missed the first vid on this. Looks great! I did hear some chatter on the cold start, 5.4 is known for the cam tensioners going bad so I’d look into that

@9:30 there's a little bit of a ticking noise when accelerating. That's the bolts broken on your headers. Common issue with the truck.

So many little things with these trucks, the brakes adjust the rod into the master also make sure there isn’t fluid in the booster. The tune up honestly on par for a 3v they suck. You have the typical 3v exhaust manifold leak too. And need to get the timing chain and phasers done asap before it eats itself alive.

Bumper stand would help with install .. aww yes bumber brackets lol

Could be worth checking brake master cylinder seals, including the piston seals? Any slight leaks would give you a longer pedal but the brakes would still ‘work’. I believe there may have been issues with the master cylinder on model of truck??

I just bought a grill this morning. Buying headlights next. Wondered why you went with the gloss black grill? I was debating but I’m doing fender flares also and they will be matte so I couldn’t do the gloss. Your bumper is matte, you should have went with the matte.

I had an 06 5.4 and my in-laws a 2010 5.4. That engine is a dog and the larger tires will make it worse too not sure what rear-end is in that truck but to make it feel quick you either need power or gearing change

Comparing a Mercedes with a Ford for prices on parts? Well my guess is that all parts for a car in Germany need to be tested and licensed or else you can't use them on your car in Germany. They can even take the car off the road if you are using potential dangerous parts that are not licensed and tested for the car you're driving. That probably explains the price tag on the parts for a Mercedes plus it is a luxury car.

Don't got to the shop for things you can do. Changing oil and bleeding brakes are simple jobs. Changing plugs is easy. You have done harder jobs. Watch some videos and do it yourself and create more videos which will get you more views and more subs.

Wow made the front end look hella better. For 200+ for all is great. But the rest. Labor is expected. Not much as other. They took advantage of you. But can be lot more worse. I would say. This is acceptable then the worse ripoff. All mechanic seem to charge more claiming they did more hours. When one same experience will do it in less hours. Oh well. Find a mexican mechanic. Many done it for their whole life. And they take their time yet charge you less. And do better job. Mexican sacrafice to work hard and make money even if it's low money. They appriciate low money not like some american. Mexican come to usa to earn more pesos. Us american I'm Mexican-American many american like us born in america. No matter of American born race. More money mean better. I hate those people. I compete computer shops. I do flat rate of 35 bucks. Doesn't make me rich. But shops you pay houndreds for computer repair. $ greed is not the stair of heaven. But $ is stairs of hell.
