My DBK Knife made by Dulo is another perfect example of how unpredicatable wood with an exotic grain structure can be. It cracked from shrinkage in transit before it made it to me here in Canada. (Of course Dulo did not hesitate to offer to replace it) Any highly figured wood (Burl is one of the weakest ) is naturally going to be weaker than a plain straight grain, it is the price one pays for the beauty. Sorry it happened to you but I'm glad to hear that a new one is in the works!

If you can melt some butter and inject it into the turkey, it will not be dry, it will be delicious. I also inject Italian seasoning the same way.

That knife is gorgeous and WOW! SHARP! That would be a nice to wear out on the town on a nice belt. Here in Arizona USA we would wear it with a Pearl inlay handled Colt 45 cowboy revolver. Can't do that in Holland, blame the royals for that.

Ok for the best not dry turkey. Deep fry whole turkey in peanut oil 275 degrees f for 7.5 min a lbs. love u guys some of most entertaining vids.

That tang was tiny. That would be a fail in forged in fire show.... It would be a knife fail. Might be a good blade but was definitely a knife fail. Songs like he fixed those issues though so awesome! Wouldn't mind having one now.

To keep moisture in your turkey stuff the inner chest with stuffing! This means it will take longer to cook thE bird because the center has no hot air in it, as the stuffing acts as an insulator cooking more slowly, but this keeps more moisture in the bird. And of course DONT' OVERCOOK THE BIRD. Use a thermometer to check the birds temperature and keep checking to makes sure you have fully cooked teh inside of teh bird but NOT overcook it... And remember to baste your bird!

You need to inject orange juice or wine into the turkey meat with a seringe and then give it a coke or more orange juice bath so it doesn't go dry, works like magic

Looks like a good turkey! Is it a common meat in Netherlands? We have it often here in USA (often just shelf: freezer food) but typically roasted, cooked a few times a year. Usually holidays. Watching you guys prepare it is making me really hungry!!
