You should rename the video, “how we turned a BK9 into a BK7”. Just regrind the knife and you’ll have a BK7 or a BK6 and a half.

The BK9 is my favorite big knife. I changed the handle scales, stripped the coating, and filed a section of the spine to 90 degrees. It chops much better, and makes feather sticks much better. It’s crazy tough and easy to keep sharp in the field.

Such a sportsuit was a major thing to proud for any Russian (respected grown up, teenage drug dealer, student, etc.) back in 1990s. These were majorily bought from Vietnamese guys tents which have formed huge clothing markets / bazaars.

All hail the king, the BK9!!! I was so hyped for this video!!! I can't believe you broke it 😭 the knife is amazingly flexible for it's strength. Get another one, strip the coating, sharpen the spine and don't use a hammer on it and you'll love it more. The 9 is one of my favorites 💚

The main reason the knife broke is because you guys used a hammer and chipped away at the spine! I am absolutely certain that it would have split that log with no damage at all if it was batoned with wood! I love the BK9. Its a bred and born survival knife. Thanks for the video guys

BK9 is still my favourite “survival knife”. I’ve processed thousands of pounds of wood over the years with no damage. Takes an edge really easy and takes an absolute beating. When camping in bear country, I’ve got bear spray in one hand and BK9 in the other. Come at me bore!!

I've batoned my bk9 through some big logs like that and had it fully bent and it pops right back to straight . Never used a hammer on mine tho lol

That was a pretty crazy test. I never saw a BK 9 break before. I have all kinds of crazy torture tests on it. At least, you still have about a 7" blade.

Then you should see the video made by Joe X, the destruction video. One hit on the stone and it broke. Then again, it stood up against all the wacking on the car door. And the best part was the stabbing, it did do that really well.

You can't not have a BK9. The BK9 will chop, carve, extend the life of your car's wiper blades slightly, and lower the odds of your house being struck by a meteor by 6% (talk to your insurance company about a discount). And legend has it that somewhere deep in the woods is a mysterious donut shop that will give a free apple fritter to BK9 owners (if you can find it).

YOOOO IVE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS KNIFE TO BE ON THE SHOW FOR AGES!!! thank yall so much! it's a shame it couldnt quite handle the abuse, but it still stood up well for a while, and I dont think any knife should be expected to survive that type of destruction (super strong shock/vibrations). Amazing video!

I love my BK11! Its a beast of a knife that i use for everything! From splitting wood to cutting fragments of stone for jewlery! Kabars 1095 is awesome! With my Estwing hatchet and my Bk11 i can handle anything.

If you're going to keep with Beckers, please please take a look at the BK16, BK10 (a thinner version of the BK2 with a very slightly different point), and maybe a BK7, the smaller version of this.
