I am quadriplegic and cannot use my hands but I can move my arms a little, this is exactly how I setup my cars, trucks and boats so I can drive them. Then I just put a piece of 1/4" ID rubber fuel line on the joystick to make it bigger and I just put the joystick between my knuckles so driving my RC's is the same as driving my wheelchair. I have a piece of foam that sits on my lap and is cut out around the transmitter to hold it in the proper orientation so I can drive my RC's. I just got one of these transmitters but I haven't even used it yet. But very soon I'll be driving my new truck, a Traxxas Slayer 3.3... I can't wait! Great video, thanks for sharing!
Wow, thanks! Would prefer that the throttle could be re-entered and the remote transmitter to be reprogrammed to reflect the auto centered throttle stick
Yes so I've set the throttle on the right stick witch centres itself and for steering I've assigned left horizontal stick because it centres itself on that Axis. Using mode 4 in this radio enables to use it that way 👍
@@RakishRc yeah. Works for me, but sure if there are any remotes at this price range that has this many buttons and switches that has an auto centered left stick
I watched many of your videos recently and it is so far the best long range car Fpv tutorial I can find in RU-vid. I have bought a 1.3 video transmitter system with my existing 2.4ghz radio and the result is bad. It is only a little bit better than my existing 5.8 video transmitters. I Just bought flysky i6x trying to duplicate what you did as no one can teach me this around my friends. I also ordered the IBcrazy notch filter as I try to see if my existing 2.4 radio link would work without needing to buy the MFDlink or other similar systems. I bought i6x also because I saw you get the R9M 900mhz for Fs i6x and I try to test this combo if the notch filter won’t work to my expectation. Or for rc car fpv, do you recommend 433mhz better? Thanks a lot.
Hi, so your 1.3ghz video tx and rx along with good onmi and patch antenna should enhance the video transmission. For raido control link my suggestion would be either use 900mhz elrs tx and rx with fsi6x or use a UHF 433mhz module. How long of a range do you want? And which rc car you have?
G,day, thanks mate, I did find this very helpful, with respect do you know how to adjust the steering with this controller, that would help silly buggers like me all the best mate Peter
@rakishrc have you tried flipping the sticks around so the throttle stick goes up/down on the left side and steering is left/right on the right of the controller ? I saw that in another YT video but thats a FS-i6.
When i connect my right stick function as a trottle but it works like the left to the right not like up down, you have any idea how i can solve that ? Cheers
@@RakishRc thanks man, its my first rc car i 3d printed him and made the eletronics yesterday and your video help me a lot, thanks for answering my question 😀 stay safe man 😀
I am currently stuck trying to configure this transmitter and receiver to operate a motor controller. I have only been successful in getting the motor to operate forward and reverse. Anyone able to point me in a better direction? The motor is a single 24v transaxle motor. I’m convinced that my setup is appropriate, I’m lacking the knowledge for configuration. 😅
Dear, I want to update my Flysky FS-I6X to 10 channels. The port opens but I can not upload firmware. I have an alarm saying "Device is not connected". I changed Tx and Rx but without result. Could you help me and say what I am doing wrong?🙂
Please make a video on your rc car or tell now want to learn more about it And from where I can get it and it's name It seems it has brushless motor please tell about also
I used the right self centring stick and then calibrated the car esc accordingly. So middle is neutral, up is forward and down is brake and then reverse.
What is the idea? Use your UHF system with this radio? I had a similar radio with my rc car and I got 350m same receiver that you have. Now I'm waiting for the Radiomaster arrives. For Rc Cars there's a lot of interference with 2.4ghz. Nice video, I'm curious to see your next long range test
I might use it for long range haven't decided yet but it offers some extra controls and knobs which could be helpful so let's see. I've got a new UHF antenna arriving which should fix the issue and one more step that I'll share in a video soon. Thanks 👍
I have a brushed ESC so I think that is why when I do it like you said then at idle right stick the car goes 50% and when the right stick is up the car goes 100% and I have to hold the stick down for the car to stop@@RakishRc .. how do I enable down=back , idle=stop and forward=up ?
