Do you cook soup? I have soup at least 2 times a week and pancakes or scrambled eggs on Fridays because in Poland we usually don't eat meat on Fridays. Soups are very popular here, and they don't have to look like water with some vegetables :)

For anyone who needs a side for their meals all week. Buy a cabbage and make home made sauerkraut. You get the vitamin C and a nice tangy leafy green. Do it correctly it keeps for ages. Super cheap too. Just salt and cabbage.

We don’t skip on food there isn’t a budget but what we do is go to the butchers every month get stocked up on chicken beef etc then just spend what you need to at Aldi we’ve done it this way for 3years the money you have saved we’re having 2 holidays a year abroad it’s a win win then you don’t have to stick to a budget the key is get stocked up on meat from butchers as they do lots of deals the more you get the cheaper it is

Since I’ve started really paying attention (also really trying to cut back at the same time) I have realized that I spend over $500/month on groceries for 2 people who eat out all the time (eating out not in that $$ amount) I’m going on a pantry challenge this week and then starting to shop at Aldi. My goal is to get the grocery budget to about $350 a month.

Definitely doable...we are a family of 6, we school at home so all meals at home and husband takes leftovers for lunch and we budget 100$ a week. We do shop at ALDI, Winco and a little from Walmart.

Love this video, I got a TOP tip for razor blades, buy a 'Safety Razor' for less than £5 on eBay and get the replaceable 'Double Edge' blades which are 10 for about £2 (V SuperMax are good). It saves a fortune and they're exactly the same to use and no plastic waste either. Just twist the nob at the bottom to replace the blade. I got a vintage silver style one and little chrome stand for mine in the bathroom. Also, blokes could use a shaving soap bowl and shaving brush (Wilkinson Sword do them but there are so many kinds) instead of a can of shaving foam, much cheaper and better for the environment (tbh I just use normal soap, shower gel or left over conditioner for me) :D

Hi there you may already know this but if you buy vegetable oil, the contents are usually 100% rapeseed oil and it's cheaper than buying the oil as rapeseed, was told this on a diabetic food learning course, and you're right you can't taste it and it's better for you tfs Jax

Next time you need to buy rapeseed oil, pick up a bottle a of good old vegetable oil and look at the ingredients list - it’s usually 100% Rapeseed Oil! Not in such a fancy bottle, but it’s exactly the same stuff so will save you a few more £s

Ask your local organic farmer to sell you odd boxes : the fruit or veggies that are bashed a little and supermarkets won't sell. This Helps with costs to Save when organic! I too used always buy organic but as son gre got more expensive in Ireland and 100e a week on food. I always get organic meat though as tastes better. I hate the meat in aldi and lidl its very weird taste.

We live in the same town 😁I only noticed because of the toy store in the background! We are currently trying to buy a property but we didn’t like the Linden home development as the roads were narrow and lots of cars parked at the weekend making access difficult. We are attempting to purchase through David Wilson instead which isn’t far from where you are looking to buy. My children go to a school near the Linden home development so it’s a very small world 👍😁 love your videos and keep up the money saving content!

Wow I wish our shop was that cheap! We usually spend between £50 and £70 a week for 2 of us, mostly at Asda. We meal plan for the week including our lunches for work to prevent waste. We buy a lot of fruit and veg as trying to be healthy and lose weight at the moment and that definitely adds up. Our shop was cheaper when we were eating more carbs like pasta etc and less fruit and veg. I can't get everything I need at our local Aldi, plus I find that some things like fruit and veg may seem cheap but are actually smaller packs than Asda so not always as cheap as they seem. I go to Aldi to stock up on certain things I know are cheaper every now and then though. Also some bits I buy in home bargains or B&M as cheaper than a supermarket-good for cupboard type food. I find I get the best value by shopping around :)

Never shopped in Aldi, usually shop in Asda. I’m disabled and my husband works a lot so I do an online shop and he picks it up on the way home from work. Does Aldi have a free from range? I’m lactose free and have to be careful with gluten. Think I should be ok with some of the plant based dairy products - the marg etc but do they offer a section like the bigger supermarkets?

Aldi and Lidl do have a free from range. However, their ranges are even more limited that the range at the "big 4" supermarkets.

Great grocery haul, you did well sticking to budget :) :) I'm in AU so our vegan meats a bit more expensive as they are between $6 and $9 per pack, so depending on when I stock up I usually spend between $10 - $25.00 for one person for a week. Also you should try lentil and vegatable soup as well made a pot last night and it is yummy :) :)

Love this 🙌 I've started buying oat milk in bulk from minor figures, don't know if that helps at all :) you can also make it incredibly easily/cheaply - sustainably vegan has a great video on how to do it! 🌻

Aldi I find is terrible for it 😩 that's why don't shop there. Lidl seems less on the veggies side.you end up paying more on your bins with that amount plastic and most not recyling. I read soooo much stuff aldi cannot recycle at all.

Are those yogurts vegan? I have been looking for vegan yogurts in Aldi but didn't think there was any. Please let me know 🌷🌷🌷
