So for 2 people , 7 nights B&B . £84 for the room , £42 for breakfasts , total £126 ... They should be booked solid . Another reason to support this place , they were approached by the authorities asking if it could be used for immigrant accommodation , they politely declined.
where did you get this information from? I guarantee your we have not been approached pal also we are booked solidly year round, so before you make a statement please make sure it is one of truth not just so you can get thumbs up likes on a comment
stayed here a few times, staff are great nice polite and a good laugh, rooms are good for there price very comfy and warm, the breakfasts are nice and tasty, id go back anytime, good value for your money.
Incredible, thanks for highlighting this as it's a genuine option for struggling families with the needless price hikes that are currently happening. I had no idea these prices were still a thing in Blackpool, brilliant. great video. Subscribed
If you want to stay in a very small confined space, eat out everyday or takeaways. Then wait for inflation on prices weekends and peak season. Plus the noise of all the other occupants.
@@Clara-ph7my I have friends who pay 1800 quid a month for a Similar Place in Leeds it might have a good address but it's as small and as noisy as anywhere. Remember home is for sleeping Not locking yourself in because you can't afford to go anywhere. That's the problem with the economy. Take care
Hi a great video and what a good room for £12.00 to have a ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee that is so amazing. I really enjoyed that video and thank you for making this video. That is worth the money.
I was expecting it hidden away in the falling apart south shore end of blackpool. That street is as close as you can be to the town centre and the calmest of its surrounded areas. What a bargain for any one coming here on a stag do. Or lads/ladies holiday .
Blackpool has a lot of competition due the amount of hotels, i am staying in Blackpool all week 4 nights for £68 En Suite and its lovely, and round the corner from Coral Island
Enjoyed that mate... what a find!!. Rgds the TV...It shud have a usb slot so id stick my firestick in and watch TV through the b&b wifi😅. Doesn't have to b a smart tv
I've just done a 2 night stay at the San deiogo near the pleasure beach...£45 for 2 Nights in peak season....it was fine,...cleanish..old fashioned...but I felt reasonablely comfortable...on the way back to i fancied an Extra night in Llandudno.. Saturday... premier inn quoted £182!!! Travelodge £160...pisstake
I'm guessing that this hotel is owned by a lovely old British couple. Sure it needs a bit of maintenance here and there & a freshen up in places but I'm sure that they are doing the best that they can at the moment. The price they charged really cannot be faulted.
Definitely agree regarding prices of the so called budget chain hotels (Premier Inn/Travelodge), they have shot up. I think for a lot of people, it's the familiarity of those chains, they know what to expect and most likely what they are going to get. People are quite understandably uneasy about booking somewhere they are not so sure about.
I love Blackpool and always stay at the Big Blue. It's not ridiculous but not cheap either. I'm always fascinated by the wee B&Bs though and wonder who stays in them, and do they have a nice stay. Like other commenters have said - this channel is great for showing you can holiday on a budget and also great for the wee B&Bs as it shows they're maybe not as scary as people think.
Fer 6 quid a night I'll move in long term mucca, 42quid a week. And you can get burgers fer aquid from Chris higgitts burger bar, and spam burger, all with onions free, but a piece of cheese costs 50p. Yoerve struck clover laddo.
I did look into a few nights in Blackpool earlier this year, but living on the South coast the cost of trains stops it being a budget destination. It’s actually cheaper to get a train to Gatwick, and an easyJet return to Barcelona.
@@wanderingwiganer Already got a half term break to Great Yarmouth planned. Why a train to there is only a third of the cost of the Blackpool one I don’t know.
For £6 a night and you don't intend to be in your room all day , it's a bargain and most bnb/ hotel room are only used for a limited time as you're out most of the day .
What annoys me SOOOO much about this "hotel", is that it has the potential to be a 2 or 3 star hotel! The rooms are decent size, and have on-suites. It just needs some maintenance and TLC, and cleaners in, plus a half-decent chef doing breakfasts, and they could charge £40 per night at least for the location! it is just like, the owners have given up, and you take what you see! SHAME! A hotel in Blackpool, in this location 15 years ago, would be raking the cash in! If they sell this place (and only charging £12 per night, they should do!) Anybody who buys this place, could easily turn it into a GOLDMINE!! EDIT: By the way, I'd love to see You staying in the RUSKIN hotel on Albert Road! I'm from Northern Ireland and have visited Blackpool on holiday at least 15 times, and stayed in many hotels, from real cheapies, to the top end like the Ruskin! Wish I had known of the Ruskin Hotel years ago! When it comes to cleanliness, staff, entertainment, location, all you can eat breakfast, etc, IT IS SOOOO WORTH paying the extra! Try it out!
When I moved to Blackpool 24 years ago (for work), It took me a week to find a flat. I paid for 7 nights at a place in Foxhall. This place is a palace compared to that. I stayed for one night and abandoned ship. I would honestly rather have slept on the beach. It was beyond awful. Didn't even have a real bed. It was a Z-bed thingy, and it was over £200 for the week. I just had to write it off. 3 nuggets for breakfast? That's amazing.
@@wanderingwiganer Most probably. You take the rough with the smooth I suppose. I've stayed in some hilarious places on my travels. From hovels to a 6 star hotel in Tokyo. We had our own helicopter! And a pilot of course. We weren't allowed to drive it! lol
There are some nice little hotels along St Chads Road. I once stayed in the Birch Villa and that was quite decent although we are talking about 20 years ago now though.
@hotelreviewer-op3wo it's true that there are a lot of run down hotels, there are some decent B&Bs on the same road as the Highbury Hotel. Not all budget accommodation is rough.
I would defo stay there i'm a clean freak but when I go on holiday I just want a hotel to stay at regardless of how clean it is, I ain't living there forever so I don't care how clean it is 😂😂!! That is very clean for the price, my mother wouldn't stay there though she has OCD lol x
Being near to the south shore rather than the middle or a bit north it's quite a hike to the entertainment areas. & No lift or ramp for disabled access. So, no thanks for me. But, for £6 p.p. p.n it's far from perfect but, what do expect for that price. If you want better quality & expectations then pay more a lot more & then you should get it. Simple. If your on a bit of a tight budget fine. But, go elsewhere if your expecting more.
This place isn’t bad for the money , I’ve stayed in places £60 a night + that the rooms were not as decent as that 1 - I was surprised when you showed there was an en-suite with it , bargain 👍
They have really made a fatal mistake putting a fan heater like that in the room lol ,if you had that running for an hour it would cost them more than 12 quid alone
In my opinion this hotel is under charging I am impressed is there a waiting list £3 breakfast i am booking in I paid £25 no hot water showers didn't work this was on hull road
No ,the linen is not changed . Mould on the sides of the mattress. Im not that easy going ..might be cheap but dose not mean the rules to health and safety go a miss 😅😅
This place is a palace compared to some of the places we've stayed at in Blackpool for 5 times the price. I dont know if i would want to stay a full week in that room, but if youve been caught short, or need a cheap overnight stay its a bargain. Other than the repairing of the ceiling, It wouldnt cost more than £30-£40 to decorate that room out and tidy it up a bit more (curtains and pole, a voil for the window, a couple of pictures/artwork for the wall etc) fitting the tv up on the wall wouldnt take ten minutes, and would mean you could move the tea/coffee stuff and kettle on to where the tv is, then get rid of the unit the kettle was on to make more room. The bathroom only wants a bit of touching up decorating wise, and going round with a steamer and some bleach. The windows could do with steaming aswell. If they did all that to it, for not much money, then it would be spot in, and make it feel like you were getting an even bigger bargain. If i had been staying there, i would gave found myself popping in to hime bargains ir somewhere similar for those things like the curtains, bleach etc and doing those things myself, just to make it feel a bit more homely during my stay. And it would be a bit nicer for whoever stays after that. But still you are getting a room for 2 people cheaper than a burger and fries for one. Unless you get your burger from Chris Higgit's.
Only thing I get funny about is it to be clean and no bed bugs otherwise I wouldnt stay . Those knobs probably had a curtain up on the wall to add abit of glamour but if it gone take the knobs down and fill the holes
@@wanderingwiganer Thanks d/l'd it now. My wife is from Blackpool and sometimes we just want a 'bed' for the night to save driving back. Things like this would be ideal
