Mezzosoprano Margarita Slepakova, violinist Elena Abbati, viola da gamba player Teodoro Baú, lutenist Pablo FitzGerald and harpsichordist Weronika Kłosiewicz, using the gap between two lockdowns, they decided to finally meet to play a piece from the Baroque era, composed by Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre (1665-1729), a French harpsichordist and composer of the court of Louis XIV and one of the first female composers in music history to have her work published.
The video was shot and recorded also by their friends: cinematographers Wawrzyniec Skoczylas and Tomek Ebert and sound engineer/viola da gamba player Leonardo Bortolotto in a beautiful venue of an old, vine-covered synagogue which was saved from being demolished by Daniel Chiquet, Mimi, and Willem von Moos (www.le-ventre.net), a group of artists who dedicated this space for art and creative activity.

Gorgeous voice and interpretation ! But a suggestion, too. Many singers do this and it's distracting - conducting themselves and acting out with their hands what they're doing vocally. If you watch master classes by top opera divas, they are having to correct brilliant singers about this very thing. It's unconscious. I learned from a very top lead opera singer who has starred in over 50 operas and has sung for royalty and heads of state around the world thay this self conducting is a common problem that must be overcome, because it's very distracting. But a lot of young and really talented young opera singers have this and have to become aware of it and overcome it. Another thing opera singers have to overcome when they're onstage is a tendency to look at the conductor instead of staying in character in the story. You have an astoundingly beautiful voice! So I do hope you'll work with someone to figure out what to do with your hands other than acting out what you're doing with your voice. I wish you well in your career! You have a beautiful and unique voice!

Très belle interprétation , une grande subtilité de la voix , tout est doux, harmonieux sans être mièvre .
