Nostalgia...... My parents went around Europe in 1968 in one like that, with friends. It was their car. We (me and my brother)were small, so we stayed at home . ❤ I drove 120 model 😊
To j PRAVI AUTO !
1968 is after a Face Lifting. Roof line looks like on Skoda 100. Older models had wrap around rear window and that "comb" on the roof like on a fireman's helmet 🙂Good thing about that is that in case you had to replace your fenders because of rust or after some accident you could upgrade to a newer model. It was popular in Poland. Tuning from the 70's and 80's. You had to make a Skoda 100 out of 1000MB. So it looks "modern". That's exactly what Pat & Mat would do 😀
@@lisker99thanks for sharing! What a car! What an achievement! How was the heater? Could it keep up with the low temperatures? See you used extra covers for the air vents. Did you kept the curtain for the radiator too? Or did the engine got to operating temperature with the curtain down? MB is always a good starter. Respect for how good this car handles on these icy roads. Loved te video. Greetings from Holandsko.
Hi from Russia. A great video with a car in great condition. I think that I've never seen such car in Leningrad/Ptersburg, Moscow or somewhere else in Russia. The most interesting things for me are relativelly small air takers in the back wings. Are they enough in case of wet snow on the sides of the car? The triangle part of the front door window is opening not by pressing a hand, but a special mechanism rotating. That's great! The luggage box in the roof is relatively small. Why? The car has not much power? Also, the rear engine makes universal type of body useless, isn't it? The car seems to be more modest in equipment then Fiat and Renailt economy class of the same period. And even more modest than Moscow made car Moskvitch. Who was buying it, except East Germany and Soviet block countries? Finland, GB? Anyhow, the colour and exterior are very optimistic. You are a happy owner of a red miracle.
@@sietse9920 to support Your grandfather, maybe he was making fun of this people when he and they were calculating expenses in the end. I also had a person from Finland, who had used to explain that it's not ambitions what is important, but free will how to use your money. What colour was Your grandpa's car?
Worst car ever made. It was our first family car in 1970s . Those cars had cooling problem and engine regularly boiled on long rides...After it happened for the third time my father sold it and we bought Dacia 1300. It was a nice change for me as a child going to a family ride without any stress.
