I don’t the think it was about breaking the record, it was probably more to do with ‘killing off’ her younger self, someone who was always seen as a hindrance. So, in a way, it was supposed to be cathartic, but still showed how much she has to learn.

Characters evolve over time. I doubt they had much of a backstory for her when she came out, but the writers that were hired for the series fleshed her out as good as possible

But it's typical of stories to go that route when 2 enemies who used to be friends will end up fighting a common enemy. (topside most likely or that crazy professor after Jinx learn she only gets usedby him i *think* )

beause like it happened with Lenore in Castlevania, ppl just concentrate on her looks (big innocent eyes, child like features...) and a PART of her history. Jinx is a sociopath and schizoid, very dangerous to herself and others. Don't get me wrong, she is probably the best character and I love her, but that doesn't make her safe.

@@Teltharion I gotta correct something here. Sociopathy is not something that can be developed you are born with this illness just like psychopathy. What jinx is experiencing is something that was developed over the years of trauma and such. She still feels regret, pain, etc. It makes it even worse for her because she was never a bad person in the beginning. She turned out dangerous because of the world around her and trauma.

Yeah, I thought they recorded the faces and imposed them on the characters or at least used some kind of motion capture, but no apparently they did it the hard way and did in keyframe animation. But yeah they definitely used the voice actors as a reference since they look so much like their characters.

the animation alone is #1 reason why everyone should see Arcane. I'm not a huge fan of the plot, characters or whatever. But the graphics side of it is just insane. I hope it gets all the credit it deserves

@@victoriaflamenco7589 I believe this is Jinx returning to their hideout. Ekko, Vi, and Jinx were formerly in a gang of orphans. As we know fiddlestick's voiceline towards Jinx, and Vi's backstory, we can assume that Jinx is what caused the rock fall, and threatened the safety of the miners, causing Vi to get mad at Jinx and- punching her and going solo, resulting in Jinx's obsession in getting back at Vi.

My big guess would be, that this wasn´t riot themselve but rather the company they hired to make Arcane. I´m pretty sure they aren´t making the whole series inhouse so it would be weird if they did the trailer for it. This is also not a simple cinematic but more of a teaser/trailer for the series that´s coming to netflix.

Imagine doing animations since s1 and then comes a kid in s11 saying you just started to focus on animations... Weirdos gonna be weird huh?
