I know this is an old vid but I totally relate, at 39, I got the itch to get back into dirt bikes. I am short and thick (probably 250 with gear) so I had my mind made up that I needed a 450 somethen. I shopped around for used bikes hoping to snap up a cheap 450 when the pandemic hit.....then the stimulus checks came out and the used bikes dried up!Long story longest I found 20’ Crf250R at my local dealer, got a bit of a deal so even tho it wasnt what I was looking for I snapped it up. I have to say so far, for an old fat guy, its more performance than I can utilize at this point in my riding life. Hoping to get into some vet motos and scrambles and maybe then I will find it lacking. That will be some motivation to lose about 50lbs and if thats not enough maybe add exhaust and a big bore kit and a couple more goodies, and this will probably be the bike I hang onto for awhile. I cant see a reason to go with a 450 at this point. Plenty of stuff on the net talking trash about 200 plus pounds being way to big for a 250 four stroke. So far for me just free ridding around the farm my crf250r is more than enough bike to have fun and get into some trouble.

Now I own a Husquvarna 250 FC and its a perfect bike for a track. It pulls like a beast. Trail riding, the suspension is kind of stiff so its ok at it. Don't suggest enduro riding unless you add a few mods on it. But it's my bike and I love it

2 months ago i bought a CRF 250 R 2012 for Enduro stuff,(i was thinking i made a bad decision) but i love it now man,smooth power,torque i just love it !

Man. So many options. 18 years ago started on a yz125 2 stroke Yamaha. 2013 bought a gsxr 750 street bike. Went to a Suzuki boulevard 800cc. No 8 years later I’m wanting another bike for trail riding, dirt roads long stretches and the woods. I’m 5’11 195 and don’t know what to get now. And on dirt bikes, I don’t have a brand preference bc I think they all are good. What’s your opinion man. Thanks

I just went on a endurance ride with me dad the other day and I hadn't ridden since I was about 16 and I'm 24 now and he let me use his husaberg te300 and I was able to navigate it not too bad but it just had way to much power for me and I ended up flogged after 3 hours of mud trails and river crossings so I'm looking for something that's 4 stroke less powerful and easily manuverabe up in the scrub this bike you are talking about looks alright for a starting point

Well I have a honda XLR 250 made in 1994 and, OKay it might not have the same amount of power like the honda CRF 250R 2016 but it is pawafullvery innuf very grate for enduring off road. And besides I find it is strange innuf for me.
