Lot of the early reviews dispute this completely, the first 8 episodes themselves that were sent out were cited as being way more mature in tone with a focus on overarching plot over one-off stories. This season ties the entire saga together (from PT to The Mandalorian to Rise of Skywalker). Season 3 is looking to be the best yet.

They always were but if you look at George Lucas interview here about the filming of the prequels and original trilogy. He was very limited in what he could do with the technology he had, if you don't count the Vehicles and a few space battles all they had was a few clumsy extras on Storm Trooper armour. If George filmed the originals again, I'm sure the Empire would have been much more ruthless.

The Empire in its early years was actually More dangerous because they where on the warpath to bring order to what is a post war galaxy ruled by outlaws and criminal elements, the Empire by the time of the OT have near total control over the galaxy and has hence forth gotten lazy and has fallen into a false sense of security, in the early years of the empire they had to establish a name for themselves and show why they where a force to be feared. It’s like 40K’s the imperium of man during the great crusade they where way more terrifying because it was humanity united and was at the height of its power.

I was so relieved when i finished the show and Vader never appeared once in this show! No offense A.d but i always liked how this show mostly saw the Batch having to deal with some small operations of the empire, without Vader in it Vader was already an antagonist in Rogue one, the main villain of season 2 od rebels and the main villain ij Obi Wan, and seeing Andor a show in the empire without the emperor or a mention of Vader and the show was making the empire imposing without him in it So i was glad that this show also never showed him, Vader is an antagonist that should only be used a number of times and i believe we saw enough of him

@@LucasGrostefon-rs2kd Exactly I don't see why he would be anywhere near the Bad Batch. He should still be dedicating his time to hunting Jedi. On the other hand, it'd be one hell of a sight to see Vader cutting down clone troopers. Anakin always seemed to appreciate them and their struggles more than almost any other Jedi. Now I kind of want to see Rex try to survive against Vader.

The Bad Batch does take place after Order 66. I do think we could see the original Stormtrooper Armor get created and might show up in the finale episodes.

My theory is Hunter will die, and they'll peel his helmet off his corpse to use that as a template for Stormtrooper helms (hence the reason Hunter's looks so similar to the generic stormtrooper helmet, and the fact that none of the stormtroopers in TBB so far have had their actual design... yet)

Well Disney wanted to pay an hommage to Ralph Mcquarrie's design that wasn't taken for the original stormtroopers. It does make sense to not immediately switch, look at modern militaries how long it takes to get all new gear. We had US troopers in Iraq fighting with frag vests while some had plate carriers. Even the Canadian army has non-matching gear that is deprecated from older eras. Remember, StarWars is a political commentary on real life situations/stances using a sci-fi universe, and I love it so much for it.

I just couldn't get into this series in the same way I did with Clone Wars and Rebels, but now I think I'm gonna have to sit through the first two seasons because I need to see this one.

@tommyfaust85 she died only in a book, and theyve already shown several times that they will retcon books. Who knows maybe they'll redo her death, hopefully with quinlin vos still there.
