One last fight. The final season of Star Wars: #TheBadBatch is available February 21, with a three-episode premiere, only on Disney+. ondisneyplus.d...
10 years back it definitely was not as polished. I mainly remember lighting being an issue. Season 3 onwards (and select stuff before then) was web the consistent quality started. They improved so much with the fluidity and animations and lighting and having more interesting visual shots. I am so proud of how far it's come and hope that this a medium that they continue to use as they have with the Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi. Thank you dad who introduced this to me as kid (I'm 20 now). Clones Wars is a top tier show all around @@Tylerm1013
@@Tylerm1013 for me, i really hated this kinda animation - like the clone wars animation style but after watching the clone wars last year, i really came to love it and prefer it over the rebels style
@@yodaddyrc1220 i definitely would’ve been fine with 4 seasons but I feel like more than 5 would be pushing it. I’d start getting scared they weren’t wrapping it up and would be at risk of cancellation. This way I at least know they’re able to execute their planned ending
This all started with an ambitious show 16 years ago and I've come to realize how beautiful the animation has evolved since then, its very cineamtic and almost realistic in some shots. Can't wait for this final season 🙌🏼🤯
I gotta say, Crosshairs redemption arc is the strongest redemption I've seen in years. He is such a fantastically written character and I'm so glad they brought him full back into the Bad Batch. Watching his relationship with Omega grow was so precious, I just love both of them so much. Really sad to see this show come to an end.
I am absolutely awestruck by hearing Ian McDiarmid as palpatine again but I did not expect Ventress to return at all. A surprise to be sure but a welcome one.
I sort of did expect Ventress to show up since they never finished her story in the clone wars, and having seen the zillo beast in season 2 just made it seem more possible to happen.
The Clone Wars will forever be my favorite Star Wars content and this “extension of the CW” has been great. Seeing Ventress and Wolffe sent chills down my body.
Seeing Tech's sweetheart fly in to save them in the opening trailer sequence just reminded me of something I never thought of - that the Batch lost both of their main pilots last season, Tech and Omega. Though are all capable of flying, that was their roles on board, primarily in Tech's case and with Omega in training.
@@austinsosnowski7123 do you still think so after the conclusion of the series? I think it's heavily implied now when she looks at those glasses in one of the last episodes.
@@fatnakedjimmyneutron I think they might be doing that story in this or somewhat of that story which is fine because the ahsoka book and the the last season of the clone wars with tales of the jedi are somewhat the same events
Can't believe we really are saying goodbye to this series. I mean Clone Wars has been and always will be my favorite show OAT. But to see this series grow and show more of the clones and their lives after the war, it just sucks to see my childhood really end. Eagerly waiting to watch this show
Definitely felt that about your childhood. Dad put me on this show when I was kid (now I'm 20) and I'm so grateful. Excited to see if they can tell more stories with Tales of the Jedi haha! I'd love if they brought this style over to different eras as well. The Empire (ik and love rebels but imagine more! and in the more clone wars style) and maybe in the High/Old Republic!!!
It really sucks, I was 8 when the clone wars series came out and watched every single episode. I really feel like each fan has a connection to the clones as characters, I wish none of them died but it's part of it. I felt a connection with a lot of them just watching the shows, I'd love to see a clone wars series solely about the Clones, doing special ops missions, special forces, how they became an arc trooper and climbed the ranks to be the best.
I agree! This being season 3, the last season is just sad! I had hoped that this show would go for 5 total seasons and then lead into another Clone Wars or close in the timeline to that era show (or have another animated series announced by The Bad Batch’s end). Three seasons just doesn’t seem like enough to tell the squads story/full arc in my opinion.
@@jacobjones221I’ve always wanted a spec ops series. I’ve talked with fellow SW fans and most of us agreed that a Republic Commando show that focused on the beginning of the Clone Wars and went all the way through the end of the war and Order 66 would be fantastic! Delta Squad is my preferred squad. We could go with them from the first Geonosis campaign all the way through Sev missing in action and the aftermath, and then into Order 66 with Imperial Commandos and the rise of the Empire and after. Basically a war epic but through the eyes of a single special operations squad. They of course would do joint missions as part of the larger overall battle and would link up with other A.R.C. Troopers and such. What an epic journey that would be.
The animation quality is top notch. I really hope Star Wars gets more animated shows at this quality like Clone Wars Season 7 and Bad Batch. It's too good
so that means Dark Disciple isn't canon anymore. I'm glad. Although I liked the book's style (Christie Golden is one of my all time fave writers) I really didn't like the conclusion.
@@TheSirUno Doesnt really make sense for them to make a flash back of her in a trailer for season 3 all disney keeps doing is pulling up the roots the original Star Wars planted
I love it when a season is planned as a finale from the get go instead of being cancelled after, this way we know what a banger of conclusion this season will be. So hyped!
I used to believe that; until I watched the CW Flash show's final season last year, which wasn't great. So knowing it will be the end doesn't always guarantee that they will make a banger. But I do have higher hopes for this show. As long as they stop with all the filler episodes, which I feel like is possible now that they left the Trandoshan lady that gave them all the lame side missions.
Far too many good cartoons either get cancelled abruptly (Thundercats 2011, Green Lantern EMH, Sonic SatAM, Spectacular Spider-Man, Inside Job), or have to rush an ending when they get axed sooner than intended (Danny Phantom, Owl House, Rise of the TMNT). Glad this isn’t happening with Bad Batch
@@isisbarfuss558 Thats kinda two different scenarios tho lol One is a shorter piece of content with a planned beginning and end, the other is a show that lasted 6 seasons too long and everyone hated. Besides, the flash pretty much did get cancelled. Along with the entire cw dc verse lol
Unbelievable this looks amazing! Rex, Wolffe, Palpatine, and Asajj Ventress!!!!!! I never thought we would see her again. I thought it was over. So excited
The Yellow Saber caught me off guard. Did she steal it? Did she find her own? If so, are we going to be given an actual reason as to at least what Yellow Kyber mean. Same with Green and Blue. If I remember correctly, she had her blades stolen then seized by the Jedi Temple, meaning she probably stole the Saber, but we also know that Yellow Sabers are often times in the form of Pikes.
Some things I noticed: 0:15 that's crosshair in the backround 1:28 Their working with Fennec it seems. 1:34 That's a 187th trooper which where not cannon until this point 1:36 That's crosshair's gun and hunter says "WE'RE not big on following orders" 1:49 Red bullets are coming at ventress signaling the empire is attacking her, but blue are coming from behind signaling that the bad batch is working with her
Also don't think that's a 187th trooper if you're referring to the one that Hasbro and LEGO made. Like kawishii said, the markings are very different. It's more likely that it's just a named clone working with the Bad Batch like we saw with Fireball and Nemec with more individualized/customized armor.
No we need both. Andor and early Mando are amazing and that's live action. Tales / Bad Batch are amazing and animated. It is cheap live action, like Kenobi, that is the issue. Boba being mid is not because it was live action, it was because of the script
I could be mistaken, but at 1:35 I think on the left of the screen, you can see crosshair, that's definitely his rifle, and the armour is what he wore with the empire
My excitement level is literally through the roof! Palpatine, Fennec Shand, Cad Bane, FREAKIN VENTRESS?! I can already tell this is going to be one of the greatest show finales ever. I cannot wait!
I’ll never stop loving the art style The clones look amazing, and the beta Stormtrooper designs are also crazy good. I Hope they make more shows with this art style
@@coolshipvidsthe quality difference between this and rebels is massive. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Rebels is 10 years old for starters. The texture detail, lighting and effects are literally a decade ahead in Bad Batch.
that's interesting because his pauldron always covers the other shoulder. then again it also looks like his rangefinder is on the wrong side too so maybe the image is backwards? 🤷 super excited to see him return!
That's his helmet, looking like he lost an arm though. Cybernetic right arm but the hand isn't a scomp link so it isn't Echo. Clearly shows Echo later in the trailer anyway.
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG THIS TRAILER IS AMAZING!!!!!! Seeing Ventress again was Insane! I'm So Happy We're getting to see More of Her! This Season looks Absolutely Fantastic!!! I'm Sad it's The Last One because The Clone Wars will always be My Favorite Show Of All Time, But This Show has also been kind of an extension of It and I Love It SO Much! But It looks like It's going to be A Great Ending! I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! FORRRRRR THE REPUBLIC!!!!!! Edit: Thanks for all the likes!!!
I'm really excited about this final season of The Bad Batch. However, I really hope we get to see Echo learn about what happened to Fives because I feel that would make an interesting storyline, considering Echo the kind of character Echo is and the fact that he and Fives were really close.
He did learn in season one, Rex told him in the episode where the batch got their chips taken out. It was a really small and honestly disappointing moment because he was just like "wow I can't believe it" and not much else
after this i need more clone wars side stories animated just like this one, the way this is animated is just special in it's own way and it just works perfectly.
Just when you think The Bad Batch couldn't get any better 🙏🏽 Edit: Most of you guys aren't half autistic. It's a figure of speech. I didn't mean it literally 🤡
@@tylerellis3373me when mandalorian S3 and Ashoka, he needs to stick to quality control. He's amazing at that job but writing is not his strong suit 💀
A cool detail I noticed about Ventress here is that her new hairstyle actually kind of resembles her hairstyle from back when she was training to be a Jedi under Master Ky Narec.
@@Mikowmer That’s what I was thinking too but I worry that may too far fetched since I can’t think of a reason Ventress would actually want to go back, or care to for that matter.
I’ve watched this trailer multiple times and the same excitement keeps rushing over me. Also, it looks like the animation quality got a 20% increase. It looks so good.
it always has looked good. their animation team has mostly been the same people who defined their careers over this tv series. hands down some of the best talent out here.
Honestly, when this show was first announced I wasn’t too thrilled, I thought “how are they going to make a show about the Bad Batch?” But I have been surprised at how good it is! It’s been fun!
Same here. I never really liked their debut in Clone Wars S07, and even throughout their first season I struggled to keep going, but I'm so glad I did. The Bad Batch really evolved with time
Same, thought it would be interesting enough epilogue story. But got better and better, with season 2 being a big surprise for me and bringing me back to those Clone Wars days. Hope they stick the landing for the ending.
Just watched the finale, man I'm so so so satisfied with it. Absolutely love this show, the stories, the arcs, the cameos. Watching Omega grow and get stronger and smarter has been so great to watch, I'm happy I'm invested cuz I'm definitely anticipating her own spin off show! One of my favorite things was the cinematography. Those wide angle shots of bases and scenery, omg so dope, they all could be wallpapers. There's so much more that I'm leaving out, but this one was amazing and I hope Disney continues to make more in the animation space, the style keeps getting better and better with every series and season. Now to start Tales of The Empire.
Both utterly excited and absolutely terrified of what this season will bring…We’ve been through so much with these characters already, I don’t know if I’m ready to say goodbye.
I dont think they just get Ventress back on screen without anything following it up. Maybe some kind of prequel or sequel to her story? Hey style probably wouldnt fit live action.
I'd actually love to see her in live action, because it sometimes feels hard to imagine those characters that have only been in animation have lived and fought with the ones who were portrayed in animation. It would make it all feel connected and more real/believable
You know what amazes me about the batch. It's that it can be accepted as a good show and yet it incorporates controversial things like midichlorians and palpatine somehow returning. Even though Palpatine returned in the EU without any fuss and the concept that someone could be born force sensitive was accepted long before phantom menace.
Ventress died in the expanded universe. Dave filoni isn't just destroying the timeline of the comics that should be canon but he's also ruining the hard work of who made the comic book that now has to change his story cuz a guy that doesen't have the permission his changing his story
Maybe they'll do Dark Acolyte afterwards? Meh, who knows I don't care really I'd rather have Ventress back on screen and 8f they do that storyline after. Filoni can really do what he wants with her she is his character really. He planned the arc with Quinlin Vos for the cancelled season 7, which was then renewed. They'll make another animated series after this... I hope. Or have that arc in whatever he makes next or even this. Quinlin Vos is still alive in canon as mentioned in Kenobi so let's see what happens. The comic and book were good in their own right. He also changed canon events from the Ahsoka book in her fight against Maul... For the better. It is what it is. I'm not mad at it.
Dark Disciple was one of my favorite Star Wars stories, so it’s interesting to see that it either took the teaser ending to its logical conclusion and brought back Ventress, or they just straight up retconned it. That book was made to give Asajj Ventress her rightful ending to her story, and if I remember correctly had a great foreword from her VA, so it would be somewhat of a shame for it to be completely removed for canon.
I imagine she was the first force sensitive clone except they couldn’t control her, and she just woke up where she left off. We also don’t know how long the Empire had Grogu before Din found him, so it’s possible they used his blood before Gideon himself did.
Didn’t realise this was going to be the final season. Really enjoyed the last 2 seasons. With Ventress back i look forward to it even more. Bittersweet
Love me some Cad Bane, he looks extra smooth with this animation as well. And his entrance seems in character. Here’s hoping that we’ll see his duel with Boba in similar animation someday soon.
The animation in this show. The quality increase between season 2 and season 3 was incredible given how good it already looked and once again they’ve outdone themselves.
I thought this same thing with season 7 of TCW and it just keeps getting better. IMO, the second half of season 7 of TCW was the best Star Wars we’ve gotten.
@@mrdogbone It wasn’t bad because the writing was off, it was terrible because it was packed off in a couple minutes. If you don’t like the Star Wars Prequels, why don’t you say so? Otherwise I cant explain how you are ok with this.
MY CROSSHAIR IS BACK WITH OUR BATCH YEEESSSS! Couldn't ask for anything more. But for a 4th Season which should have been a no brainer for disney. The fans deserve this much. We got the short end of the deathstick, plus we don't even get our usual 16 episodes. There should have been a 4th Season or they should have given us 50 minute episodes at the very least. So, I believe we got crapped on here.
This season looks like it’s gonna be the best yet! Hopefully we’ll see this style of animation for multiple future Star Wars shows, it simply is the best.
Hearing ventress and seeing her again gave me CHILLS!! I’m so excited to see more Bad Batch and so sad to see this is the last season!! I hope we get more clone content in the future!!
I'm pretty sure it's always had ray-tracing. Ray-tracing isn't anything new or difficult for animation, it's real-time ray-tracing in video games that relies on modern graphics cards. I guess I wouldn't expect anyone who considers the Clone Wars art style to be "eyecancer" to be even a little informed about animation. I'm sure you think the entire artform beneath you. @@timewarpdrive77
I like the show Bad Batch, and I enjoy Dave Filioni’s content, but a lot of work was done by Jennifer Corbett. Overall Dave Filioni shouldn’t be considered the sole creator of TCW and Bad Batch, he is no George Lucas. But he is an integral part of the creative direction to which the story is built upon. And his recent rise that allows him to not cave into the demands or expectations of someone like Kathleen Kennedy is very promising. I’m thankful we have the Bad Batch, and I wish it was as recognized as TCW or other major shows. I feel the story hasn’t had as much time to ripen, but I’m grateful for what we have
You do realize if this series were truly in high demand there would be alot more seasons and they wouldn't rely so heavily on nostalgia bait with Ventress "somehow returning" after her fight with Dooku in Dark Disciple right?
From the official site: "We don't want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple."
