I’m a simple man, I see death playing an accordion and I click

I love how Death has an accordion. Like, angels have harps, the Devil plays the violin, and Death has an accordion

I love how non-edgy this is. No Satan-worshiping, no Christianity-bashing or describing graphic scenes of rituals/sex/gore and the like. Just some talented guys singing about blizzards, the naturalistic imagery of snow and the decay it brings.

I am rarely impressed by some Black Metal but these guys are really great. Atmospheric sound and native instruments really matches lyrical themes, dark, gloomy, shiver but without any satanic moment or iconography.

There is nothing bad about this album, the music, the album art, the band logo, even the track names. The RU-vid algorithm has introduced me to something atmospheric and beautiful. This is a day of blessings for me, just because of RU-vid recommended.

The metalhead's conundrum: You find a new band that is right up the alley of your cold, black, somber metal little heart. They have some of the best song structure you've heard from anyone in this genre in a while. There are some more accessible sections to soothe the ear, but still enough of the metal heart to it to satisfy that dirty guitar riff sweet-tooth and really get the head going. It is familiar enough to really click, but there is enough of a unique aethetic involving instrumentation like an accordion, which tickles your musical fancy while remaining interesting and fresh. Their content is classy and tasteful! The album has songs about life, death, the impermanent touch we leave upon one and the looming destiny of the other, the link we all share through nature, and how we all end up back as one in the end. There are references to classical literature that get your mind whirling around their fantastic imagery. It is, frankly, beautiful. Overall, it is bitterly honest melancholia, but hopeful and content about the future end at the same time. They have a solid post-black wistful gloom to it, but it doesn't stray too far into nihilism. The album cover has a grim reaper going off into the snow at night to play his Death Songs (also the name of the album) which is just a fantastic painting. You contemplate how great that would be on a shirt for your collection. All in all, it's one of the better albums you've heard in far too long, and you immediately want it for this upcoming winter, when it would sound best at the time that fits the tone they evoked, just after fall truly ends: The dawn of a new cold for us all. You want to share this album over a bottle of wine or a nice ale with someone who might appreciate it like you do, and have a good night of just sharing it with a friend and enjoying it. The problem: You have trouble getting anyone to check it out without giggling, because their name in Russian is the word for "Path," which in the English alphabet sounds like "Poot."

Оказывается в блэке есть место для хорошей лирики. Первый раз в жизни прочел тексты от группы в этом жанре и они реально хороши даже как просто стихи без музыкального сопровождения. Про музыку вообще не имеет смысла долго распинаться, она очень хороша и за год не надоела до сих пор. Поклон авторам.

This is the album that made me love metal. The instrumentals are beautiful and the harmonica is the best part. I don't speak Russian but I feel the lyrics anyway without knowing the words. And the cover is masterpiece of its own
