Joe Morello.. what do you think of this drummer? I'm not a drummer but I love Jazz and he's a drummer I really like. He played a bunch of odd time signatures in a few Dave Brubeck albums.. (Time Out and the rest of the Time series.)
@@8020drummer I like the beats you have here but not understanding something. You say: " you can bisect the bar so that you hear it is two bars of five eight so instead of one two & three four five, one two & three four or five you can play the snare note on the spot in the bar that's exactly half way so 1 2 3 & 4 5 1 2 3 & 4 5 " How is this even? If we look at > 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & to make it even wouldn't you have to have the snare hit both 3 and the & ? like this 1 & 2 & S S 4 & 5 & 1 & 2 & S S 4 & 5 & ^^^ this looks even to me S for snare is on 3 and then again S on the & (of 3) and to 4 & 5 & and the also what does this give us, if you play on 5/4, snare on 1 and 5 ? in terms of evenness?
