Greed and avarice destroyed the infrastructure of Kathmanu. We had rope way too which was used to ferry goods from Hetauda to Thankot. That also disappeared .
The government should build trolley infrastructure like cables and lanes, and private sector should run the buses and pay the government for the infrastructure usage. The whole of ring road should have trolley bus. Infact, the east west highway should be trolley connected. This is the best form of transportation for Nepal. Battery Electric Vehicles are not good for Nepal as Nepal doesn't produce batteries and there are huge efficiency loss in charging and operation.
People say trolley buses are things of the past, but it's the most economically and efficient methods of transportation better than diesel or electric buses. A single bus can last 20-30 years with minimal maintenance. Recently trolley buses are introduced in Mexico city, Shanghai etc. KTM valley metro train might take more than 20years for completion, but a ringroad/bhaktapur trolley bus circuit can be completed within a year if all the valley metropolitans join hands.
@@aarjanbaskota5729 Yes. Trolley buses can run directly on Nepali-produced electricity. The only problem is corruption. But it can be solved by allowing the actual operation of the buses to the private sector. The whole of Ring Road should have a Trolley bus service. Once in Kathmandu, Trolley service can connect other major cities like Butwal-Bhairahawa, Birgung-Hetauda etc.
I would love to travel once again in trolly bus but our government should replace all of the petrol and diesel bus and transportation and add ev instead
