My first experience to attend a Siddis (Indian Africans), Christian wedding ceremony near Haliyal, Gardolli, North Karnataka, India. I Loved the food and Siddi Dance!!
My people are from Karnataka. Many, many years ago one of my ancestors married someone from the Siddi community. Decades later, many of the descendants have the frizzy hair that is associated with Africans. I pray the Government helps the Siddi people. Best wishes from New Zealand. Very nice video.
Mate you delivered a very balanced vlog highlighting all positives for the event. Really appreciate your demeanor and positive attitude. I am delighted
Basically there are two reasons 1st- Youngsters are burdened with family responsibilities and opt to earn than making long term career plan as sports person. 2nd- Lack of interest and competition among themselves. But There are few kids helped by parents could play at national level also.
Sidi people living in isolation because the Indian government has denied them right to normal life, you people are just using them for content it's not like you care.
Hi, Sorry to say you have misconception about Siddis living in India. I will clear all your doubts in my next video. I am sure you will be happy to know ground facts. And this video is not a content it's a wedding function which was recorded as it was...happy watching!
@@keru-the-veteran Hi, from Gujirat to Karnataka and Punjab all Siddis people are sideline, they not in Indian sports and all the house and environment are always was than slums in India. The ones given chance to take part in sports also get dropped as soon as they start getting reconstructing.
your comment is too harsh, but yes, seems that modi does'nt care a hoot about the minority of minorities. they should be given some dedicated upliftment programmes including natives from africa connecting with them and reminding them of their original culture.
They are based in India since a century and are Indians, Stop addressing them as African communities. They have adopted traditions accordingly after migrating here. Their traditions are Indian in nature ( of Christian Community of India) Not as you said similar to Indian. Please correct it. Also do a little research whenever you put a video on indigenous communities.
@@keru-the-veteran Thanks for the nice video. Enjoyed watching it. What I noticed is that the environment looks so clean and tidy. The houses are well maintained. The Siddis are full-fledged Indians, who have all the rights and duties as all other Indians. Why are you talking about colonys and not neighborhood communities? The word colony reminds me of all the countries like India that were colonized by the West. Greetings from the Netherlands.
@@awesomed007 The Siddis are Indian Africans because they were born in India. They are not African Indians because they were not born in an African country. They do indeed resemble Africans because of the African genes. What nationality are the Siddis? I look like Indians because of the genes I inherited from my Indian ancestors, but I am not Indian because I wasn’t born in India and therefore do not have Indian nationality. I will never deny my native country. An apple seed from India planted in Africa will always resemble an apple, at most the apple may taste different due to the type of soil. Your claim that planting an apple seed from India in Africa will never grow into a banana is flawed.
