These are inner areas of Sasan gir, development in these areas is not necessarily good, it's harmful for the wildlife. Some things should be left as they are I visit gir multiple times a month and know lot of siddi people, they are happy and content with what all they have, government supports them in all possible ways.

Are you sure that there is no development in African areas? which country did you visit in Africa? I want to tell you confidently, most Africans live in a better way than the Indian African community. Before you blindly judge, try to google about Africa.

Unfortunately there is not much available info in the internet and the siddi people also are not very sure about their roots. They were mainly residing in the Junagadh forest area till very recently and brought to the main stream. There are similar siddi community in northern Karnataka best Shimoga … planning to visit that place too shortly

When I once told this to a few Surinamese of Indian origin, they laughed at me and said I had made it up. Then I showed them videos on You Tube about the Siddis and the Andaman Islands, where people of African origin also live. Then they became silent. India has the task of teaching about these Indians of African origin in schools so that the growing youth learn about this piece of Indian history.

There is a difference between ethnicity and nationality. If you asked the Afro Indians what is there ethnicity, they will say African and rightfully so. If you ask them their nationality, they would say Indian. They even have mixed of customs and culture because of being there in India for generations. I don’t see them wearing African outfits for daily wear. The women wear saris and shalwar, etc. Men wear the local garb. So they have taken on some of the cultural identities around them. Now, you go do your research genius. I don’t hear my Afro Guyanese friends say they are Africans. They will tell you they are Guyanese and are descendants of black slaves and identified as blacks. What is so hard to understand. What point were you trying to prove about the Afro Indians in India? What is an African? Someone who is from the continent of Africa. What is an Afro Indian? Someone whose ancestry is African but is born and raised in India. Now, I encourage you get some knowledge on this subject before you ask me to do my research.
