There is no competition between states in NEET exam. 85% of seats reserved for respective state only. If all students in TN appear for NEET scores only the minimum pass mark of 138, all the seats will go to them only. Seats won't go to other states even if they scores more marks. The concern here is whoever can afford to pay for the private NEET training institutes can only score more marks and get into medical colleges which is mot a real competitive exam. Number of attempts should be reduced to 1 or at the maximum of 2. The second attempt can be given just to avoid any unexpected situation.

Not a valid argument...When so called mostbackward states like Orrisa.Bihar States accepted the NEET ..Why the well developed State likeTamil Nadu..as claimed by the all political parties in T.Nadu...have the objected..Ask the GOVERNMENT to provide Efficient coaching to the GOVERNMENT school students and ask the Private Medical colleges to collect the same amout of Fees for the students allocated to them under Government Quota NEET Students (Govt Medicalcolleges fees )..Can any one have the strength to raise theVoice????

Those who are passing NEET are going for coaching centers which take a minimum of Rs. 1,00,000 per annum. In TN, parents who can afford to give NEET coaching put their children in NEET training only when they are in 11th, 12th standard but in North India, they start at 6th, 7th or latest by 8th std. This is the same pattern they follow to prepare their children for IIT also. Even Andhra, Telangana people send their children to NEET/IIT training too early. And the blunt TRUTH about NEET is, it is a highly fraudulent short listing system where people give money and even short list persons who failed the NEET exam. The pass marks for NEET is only 138 marks. Anyone who scores this mark, if they have money can join in any medical college. So this is NOT a merit based system.

I am paying moe than 1 Lakhs as a tution fee for my kids. Even after I had to put my kids in a NEET coaching center. Gov school tution fee is less than thousand, many schools doesn't even have a proper infra and teachers. This is the reality. If you want to improve the GOVERNMENT school education quality then the gov should allocate lots and lots of money in its budget. Who will pay for that much money? Mr @chandrasekar will you pay more income tax?

எப்பா சாமி... NEET சிஸ்டம்படி, 12th லயும் just pass ஆகி, நீட்லயும் just pass ஆனா போதும். காசு கட்டி மெடிக்கல் காலேஜ்ல சேந்துரலாம். இதுக்கு முன்னாடி இருந்த சிஸ்டத்த சீர்திருத்துறதுக்கு பதிலா ரொம்ப மோசமாக்கிருக்குயா நீட்.

இது தவறான வாதம். முன்பு குறைந்தபட்ச மதிப்பெண்ணாக 60% (65% aggregated) இருந்தது. ஆனால் இப்பொழுது NEET தேர்ச்சி என்பது மிக மிக குறைந்த மார்க் (138/720), அதாவது 19%. இந்த மதிப்பெண்ணை பெற ஒருவர் படிக்க வேண்டியதே இல்லை, சும்மா இங்கி பிங்கி பாங்கி சொல்லி போட்டாலே வந்திடும், இந்த மதிப்பெண் பெற்ற ஒரு அடி முட்டாள் பணம் இருந்தால் டாக்டர், இது மிக மிக தவறானது. நாட்டில் சரிபாதி தனியார் மருத்துவ கல்லூரிகள் இருப்பதால் சரி பாதி முட்டாள்கள் டாக்டர்களாக உருவாக இந்த NEET வழிவகுக்கிறது. NEET போன்ற தேர்வு இருக்கலாம் ஆனால் தேர்ச்சி பெற குறைந்தபட்சம் 60% மதிப்பெண் பெறவேண்டும் என்ற நிலையை கொண்டுவர வேண்டும். அப்பொழுதுதான் ஒரு டாக்டருக்கான தகுதி உள்ளவர்களை மட்டும் டாக்டராக்க முடியும். இல்லை என்றால் தமிழ்நாடு முழுக்க கிராமங்களில் புற்றீசல்போல் பரவிக்கிடக்கும் படிப்பு என்றால் என்னவென்றே தெரியாத போலி டாக்டர்கள் போல்தான் இருப்பார்கள், அது சமூகத்திற்கு மிகப் பெரிய ஆபத்தாகும்.

I'm a practising physician who got both my MBBS and my MD through competitive entrance exams conducted by the TN govt (before 2006) in govt medical colleges. Now my son studies for NEET and the NCERT syllabus of today cannot be compared to the state syllabus and coaching we had in my School days. And mind you there were only 1000 odd MBBS seats during those days, unlike 5000 chappy seats in govt clgs now. In those days the CBSE students hardly cleared the entrance exam conducted by TN state govt. So if you're not qualified enough, just keep mum and mind you're business

There is an entrance that one should clear to get into mbbs means, s/he should clear, there is no choice, and there is no point in screaming. Thats good to know you cleared the entrance exam those days and got into mbbs then why you scared about NEET. Tell me how much you scored in +2 and entrance exams those days.
