Ppl have this mindset to not pay, may be because, they have not come across an advisor/ mentor. Two, they have a inferior complex or they are uncomfortable discussing small investments, which makes they shy to even discuss it with an advisor. Three, the accumulated amount will be lesser and they have lot of spare time to do DIY learning from Social media, as the investment value becomes bigger they will move to align with an advisor, they will get fearful of managing it themselves.
Most of the sales in today's world are done, on self gain not on long term business/relationship (in this case advisor is influenced to do more trade to an investor, to get income in each trade, irrespective of investors makes gain or loss) .
