Chitra mam ur paal payasam in cooker is nice. I tried yesterday for varalakshmi viradham. It came out very well.everybody appreciated. The measurements are apt. But I did with jaggery .it tasted very nice. Thank u so much
HI Chithra! Since you have an electric pressure cooker now , try making the payasam in it using the slow cooker mode. You can mix milk, sugar and rice and let it cook for 8 hours. The end result is a beautiful pink toned flavourful payasam. The amount of rice should be reduced to a handful . Try it! Good luck Dear!
I made paal payasam using this method. It came out well. But a considerable amount of the payasam actually split over the vessel into the cooker. I made with half litre milk only. The vessel was big enough to hold 1.25 litres of milk. Yet it split over. What should I do to avoid it Ma'am? I also kept it at a low flame but there were like 5-6 whistles within 30 minutes.

You are doing a great job providing what I call "Super efficient" recipes to the world at large! I was pressed for time the last few weeks on account of my business, but nevertheless a regular cook catering just to myself with the able assistance of your channel that provides such delightful varieties .. sometimes hard to pick what to make when I am hungry :-) Your paal payasam is right now cooking in my small cooker, another 10 mins to go. I thought I would give my personal touch to it by adding some Natural Organic Vanilla Essence .. what do you think?! I cannot wait for your Javvarisi payasam (not done yet?) as I love sago. Ok, most of my milk was absorbed by the rice, may be I put a touch more rice. So I added some more milk and heated in a pan and added the sugar, cardamom pods and some vanilla essence. It was so super that it became my entire dinner! Thanks.
