திரு MSV தலைகனம் இல்லாத மாபெரும் கலைஞ்ஞன் வசந்து டி.வி யில் ,குழந்தை மாதிரி பேச்சி உண்மையில் அவர் ஒரு குழந்தைதான் வாழ்க அவர் புகழ்.😊

MSV Hailed From a very poor humble background from Palghat Kerala. Worked in a tea shop all for listening to film songs day in day out. Whatever errand job he took for survival was all music centtic. It is KV Mahadevan who identified his composing talent and with his blessings and recommendations sent him to chennai. Inspired by senior music directors like G.Ramanathan C.R.Subba Rao MSV always had originality and innovation in plenty. He and TKR paired and were roaringly successful film after film. Pavamannippu had eight hit songs which do rounds in music contests even now 60 years after release. Thereafter every film had memorable songs unfailingly. Unfortunately the pair broke. MSV distinctly emerged strong with full of assignments. Humming, male duets (pen ondru kanden) Whistling , Tennis ballsound(parakkum pandhu parakkum) Engine sound Nagaswaram and voices in social ambience. Vedic chanting as inter lude, Bangose as starting piece, classics like Karnan were all fantastic ideas. Kannadasan though wrote for many music directors he excelled more distinctly with MSV. Kalangalil aval vasantham, nalam nalam thirunalam, and andru vandhadum adhe nila and numerous such romantic songs were his immortal creation. His philosophical songs like ponal pogattum poda... mayakkama kalakkama...ninaipadedellalam nadandhu vittal..malai pozh udhin mayakkathile...are best lots then and now. His pure classics like Ezhu Swarangalil.. Neeye Unakku....Madhavi Pon mayilal ...all songs in Karnan stand monumentally for ever. He has used more than hundreds of musicians for ENGE NIMMADHI and used just minimum of three in Tahazhayam poomudichi... Both were super hits and one of their kinds. MSV has been the path shower for all Music Directors who came in later. Basically he made things easy for them to do better reach new heights. He used to sing in his high pitch voice where it fitted well. He has introduced many singers and also many worked under him became music directors. MSV is real all time text book for music composers. This has been stoutly and openly acknowledged by Ilaya Raja and ARR too. Today we forget songs as we leave theaters. But in his time all pictures had atleast 5 songs and all will be remembered for long years. He was fondly liked by both MGR and Sivaji who ruled the industry most of time. Unmindful of money and fame he gave his best at all times. He has never been given a national award and the loss is that of Award. Many youths who are septo septo octo venetians now would have found great solace in his music while fighting for a job or a loosing romance. Saluting MSV for all the treasures he has left. It is difficult to praise his talent adequately. I will have only as apology to make for gross omissions. 🙏🙏🙏
