எத்தனை இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் வந்தாலும் MSV TK Rama Moorthy & Ilayaraja இவர்களின் காலம் பொற்காலம். இவர்களைத் தவிர சில இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் பலரும் இருந்தனர். அவர்களின் பாடல்களும் சிலவற்றையும் மறக்க இயலாது. எனினும் இம்மூவர்களின் படைப்புகளில் பல பாடல்களைஅன்றும், இன்றும் என்றும் கேட்க மனதிற்கு நல் மருந்தாக அமைந்துள்ளது. ஆனால் இன்று தினம் ஒரு இசையமைப்பாளர் வருகிறார். ஒரு பாடலைக்கூட கேட்க முடியவில்லை. காரணம் இப்பொழுது உள்ள இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் அனைவரும் இசைஅமைப்பவர்கள் தான். ஆனால் MSV, TKR & IR இந்த மூவரும் இசையை உருவாக்கினார்கள். அதாவது CREATORS. அதனால் தான் இன்றுவரை அவர்களின் படைப்புகள் நிலைத்து நிற்கின்றன.

It is a CONSCIOUS TECHNIQUE of IR done effortlessly, to engage the listeners without feeling monotony (one of the reasons why majority of non-IR songs esp. post-80s are mere fads). For others, it is/maybe a profession, career, livelihood, or just a mundane chore. For IR, it is HABIT and a way of life. That makes all the difference.

ஆமாம்,பிரியாஜி அப்ப வந்த பாட்டுக்குரிய இசையை வாயினால் எளிதாக இசைத்து விடுவோம், இப்ப அது போல முடியுமா, மெல்ல..மெல்ல பாட்டின் இசை மிகவும் அமர்க்களம் தான், அதை பற்றி பிச்சு உதறிட்டேள்.

இதே போல, ஸ்வாதி முத்யம் ( சிப்பிக்குள் முத்து) படத்தில் வந்த ஒரு சின்ன BGM தான், உனக்காகவே வாழ்கிறேன்... படத்தில் வரும் 'வேற வேலை ஓடுமா... இந்த நேரம்தான்' பாடல்.

Techniques well explained.. An old haunting tune I remember is in the song "aa ab Laut chale" in film Jis Desh mein Ganga behti hai of Raj Kapoor.

Raj Seetharam is a Telugu singer who has sung some Tamil songs, but this is the only superhit and his only song for IR. Pallavi Anu Pallavi's title score and songs became the first step (a successful one) in Mani Ratnam's career, and IR agreed to compose for a mere 20% of his remuneration just to help a newbie find his feet! In Vaazhkkai, IR simply had to redo that title BGM giving it a disco spin and it became a timeless classic.

Having never watched Sarvam, and considering the movie was not a hit, it could be safely concluded that it is Ilayaraja's MUSIC which made Sarvam famous, and NOT vice-versa. IR takes care of a song from its first swaram to the last. He does NOT belong in the rest of the pack that focus only on the pallavi because all they want is "hit", and NOT timeless art.
