Maestro Ilayaraja sir incomparable. Thamizh cinema music before Raja sir had so many legends. Most of them were legends and music composers. Raja sir is still the king. After Raja sir, there are no composers, but there are many good musicians.
Music King Maestro SIR. ILAIYARAAJA - Is the real Manifestation of Destiny in Music industry WW. In India, the acievements and the records made by him, is not even been done by any one music composer in Indian Music Industry. Feel proud to live in this planet during his life era. Thanks SaRaVaNaN T!!!
கழுதைக்கு தெரியுமா கற்பூர வாசனை என்பது போல் பல தமிழர்கள் இளையராஜாவை விமர்சனம் செய்வது இயல்பாகிப் போனது. Look at her, she says Ilayaraja sir..the respect she shows for Raja Sir tamils must learn..
Uniqueness of Raja Sir is he knows the grammar of music plus he is creative. He never allowed gratification of senses to dull his mind rather 18 hours of every day he spent only in music. This he did his entire life. Also he has trained in all the four main music Western classical, Carnatic, Tamil folk and cinema music. He made his life useful and fulfilled.
Not necessary...that is typical Dravida fake culture.. Parent given names are great and and respectful. We don't say Kamaraj sir C subramanyam sir Am Raja sir K v Mahadevan sir Etc..

While vaidegi kathirundal ie rasathi unna song movie screened in a hilly village, elephants gang use to come and listen song and after completion of song elephants will go back. That was daily happening during the screening of the film. This happened near Coimbatore. This is the message for lidiakotlova.
Surprised to watch and thank you very much for both interviewer and Lydia. Our Raja Sir is an universal composer. I understand emotions are same as we listen to Raja Sir songs. Very nice interview. ❤
The interesting part is this Tamil speaking interviewer says “ Raja “ but Lydia says “ Ilayaraja sir”. This is something we need to learn as Tamils to respect our own . Raja sir is not an individual, he is an institution and a phenomenon of a life time. He deserves Bharat Ratna and I hope Indian government will recognise it. Regardless he is a Jewel of our souls.
Raja is chella paeru. Its no different from we using names like SPB, TS,MSV, Janaki, Suseela, Vani, Jesudas etc.. I don't think it is disrespectful by any means.
First name is fine. You don't need to call everyone sir. Sir is a honorific for those who have been knighted by the Queen. So, stop reinforcing such fake and misplaced concepts of respect.
@@bobdeni244 No, not like that. The origin of calling may be of British origin. But still even in US, addressing somebody 'Sir' is of huge respect, especially calling of very high superiors like commanders or higher officers.
Mam you sre the first right judge of world music its my 35 years longing of my life that u really know music you should be the daughter of illiararaja and saraswathi the lord of music i love u my dear sister
illayaraja Sir is a genius and the best thing about him is that he is so down to earth. He just plays music and doesn't care about external things. The simplicity is unmatched. An exceptional talent.
Ilairaja's musical experimental explosion happened mainly between years 1977 to 1987. Unfortunately our awareness and studies of these when they came out in quick succession were quite limited🙏🙏
Beautifully replied. Many of us relate to his music in exacythe same way she says. Un explainable. Those nuances..subtilities, surprises, patterns and so on. As she rightly says one needs to listen to the different layers to fully comprehend his music.
Wow what a tribute to Illayaraja. The compere Sucithra seems to be an ardent fan of Raja.she has added another jewel to Rajas crown. Her bilingual is awesome.keep going dear❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Im from kerla but i like ur intervew with lydia becoz im following her all vdo i was thunking why she close to tamil and raja sir music only my intention was absaluetaltly right she is part of tamil and south lndia becoz her family . Tanks for great effort . I like tamil its our mother languege only malayalam derived from only tamil .
@@kartk7129 i dont know much mor about it especialy tulu its similar to marati and telugu if u know marati u can comunicate with tulu kongini and telugu but malayalam is enterly defrend from tulu but kannada and telugu similar to malayalam but tamil malayalam telugu its a real dravedian languages only not any doubt about that thirukkural said about it very clearly chera chola pandyan its brothers one mother. I like tamil and its own culture .its related to soil . We are dravadians only .
@@babuputhiyaparambil8082 i think you got confused between tulu and konkani. Tulu is quite similar to malayalam and konkani is the one similar to marathi. Tulu people celebrate vishu and onam like malayalees. Their yakshagana is similar to kathakali. If you know Centamil, kannada and telugu can be learnt in 10 days.
All I cd say is that the Indians esp the Tamil people have taken to you in fact fallen into you for ur demure and acceptance of the tamil culture and people and that too in naming ur kids with a simple yet beautiful names. U were so graceful in responding to Shruti with those beautiful smile and honest answers. Kudos to Shruti as well in being professional in interviewing you and for the prompt translation for those who may not quite get what Lidia was talking abt. Finally it takes one (you) to identify the other (illaya) or any other talent as music is the universal language that cuts across race, language, culture and norms just as the sun is the same for all around the world and all wakes up to greet the sun and no bounds to nature abs music is such too. To go further music is everywhere in nature if only we take time to notice like the birds, water cascading, the winds blowing, raindrops clattering, thunder clapping, children giggling etc etc. and the other is created by geniuses. Thank you for all the effort in bringing Tamil and Indian artful & creative music to the fore front so the wider world can enjoy it too and as you have put it .... so for some reasons the Indian music is underplayed on the world stage and am glad you have joined in the wonderful & proud endeavour with some others too to see it thru. With that as always - God bless u & ur family Cheers 🥂
A good interview with Ms Lidia Kotlova.. 👏Quite a transparent opinions shared by her on Ilayaraaja and his compositions both for movies and private instrumental albums.. 👌It is really pleasant to know that he could be compared with the Great Composer Beethoven..👍Appreciate your concern in promoting his music to the Universal audience and the Classical music curriculum.. So kind of you.. 🙏Please keep up your sharing music analysis of Indian film songs especially Tamil songs for the aspiring musicians and the next generation to improve well..🙏Warm cheers😊 God bless.. 🙏 Vaazhga Valamudan🙏 ( Thanks KAMADHENU for such a beautiful interview about Maestro Ilayaraaja by a Russian musician.. 🙏)
This glowing tribute by an accomplished pianist, while leaving isaignani's myriad ardent fans certainly enthused, wud also serve to indisputably kindle the bile in the belly of his wanton critics
Thank u so much,Lidia ,hope soon u will learn to read tamil ,u will enjoy more in this language than others.if u intersred to learn TAMIL,we will teach u in easy method. (phonics) Its true IR music touches the soul and purifies. He never thinks and writes the scores. It just happens. He himself told ,not able to write as fast as music comes to mind, before finsihing to write the 1 st idea,it vanishes out from his mind,2nd idea floods!. Thanks for u r efforts.
God bless you and thanks for sharing your views ! It’s a eye opener , we had thought he is pride of Tamil , I stand corrected , it should be universal! Thanks !!
Lidia points are very true. Very conservative and ignorant questions from interviewer but it summarises what the common Tamil public think and how they don't know to celebrate a genius. Good interview overall.
3:40 I can't wait to end. We are here again and again saying for 30, 40 years that He is our beethovan and another beethovan. Say it to the world Lydia. Thanks.
Sila pala jaathi veriyargalaal Rajaa ooram kattapattaar aanal avarin thiramai ooru ulagathirckey theriyum he is such a music genius of India not only of TN. He should be recognized and honoured fittingly.
I cant agree more on the point when you say that Ilayaraja's music is very nuanced and had to be listened carefully ( not casually). Rather, it is blissful to listen carefully and try to get the nuances. Basically, he is a composer ( who had composed for the situation). Two songs come to my mind immediately......sundari kannal oru sethi - you could easily imagine the war and tranquil scenes even without watching the video. second is rampam pam arambam ( michael madhana kama rajan) - Exquisite....even more when you grab the nuance of situation.
We have to agree that statement. Apart from being bliss on hearing, it is much more technical than we think. 99% we assume his notes wrongly. Rather actually they are modified & different than we thought. Only upon hearing with great listening skill, we can actually acknowledge the real notes of what he has written. Even for any given melody, he differ in arrangement or pattern from any of the previous creation of himself. In that, he is an incomparable genius beyond words.
Romba Nantrie. I really enjoyed watching the interview and would like to make one comment, which follows below: I love this song composed by MSV - "poomaalyil or malikai". Please try to listen to this song and I think you may like it. Thurai from UK.
Thank you for doing an interview But Fitting reply Music beyond boundaries Why have a verbosive questioning taking away the time of the such a brilliant and passionate talent.
A unique kind of interview and tribute to the maestro, removing his boundaries as a film musician and highlighting him as a Independent Musician, whose music has a global reach. Excellent compering and highly engaging translation to the audience by Susithra.
The interview is an eye opener for parochial bigots to understand the simple truth that music has no boundaries of language or nation. Ilayaraja belongs to the world of music as his music is universally accepted and appreciated by people from all over the world. Indeed he deserves more accolades and awards than given already!
