Possibly, within the large cycles, there could possibly be smaller similar cycles. Rama killed Ravana in 12 time scales. However, our ancestors weren't against questioning. Ayanamsa has been recalculated many times by our rishis. We should also try to redefine and prove things through science.

She makes other tall claims too like when the land which extended beyond Kanyakumari was submerged Thiruvalluvar. migrated from Kanyakumari to Mylapore. How convenient is that? And she also said ( in Pesu Tamila Pesu) Pandyan kings escaped the deluge which submerged the land beyond Kanyakumari and were moving inwards when Lord Rama was building the land bridge to Lanka. According to her that is why Pandyan kings could not help Lord Rama in the war against Ravana. But the deluge is not mentioned in Ramayana nor does Ramayana mention Pandyan kings. In Ramayana Vanaras and Asuras under Ravana are mentioned as living in Southern part of Bharat. but otherwise it says it was all dense forest in the south. Goes without saying Ramayana happened very very long ago.
