Vazhapindi Thoran
Ingredients
1. Thuvardal (just boiled) - 1 cup (approximately)
2. Vazhapindi chopped - 3 to 4 cups
3. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
4. Salt - to taste
Masala
5. Grated coconut - 1cup
6. Green chilli - 3 to 4
7. Shallots - 3 to 4
Seasoning
8. Oil - 1 tbsp
9. Rice - 2 tsp
10. Mustard - 1 tsp
11. Red chilli - 2 to 3
12. Garnish -Curry leaves - plenty
Preparation
1. To a heated pan pour the oil& season with the ingredients.
2. Add chopped vazhapindi/ chopped banana stem, boiled tuvar dal , salt & turmeric powder and boil 5 minutes without adding water.
3. Then add the crushed masala and boil 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Open , stir well and add crushed curry leaves.
